Loving God as you did when you first received Him as Lord and Saviorwhat is the first love from revelation 2:4
Naively, like any first love situation?Loving God as you did when you first received Him as Lord and Savior
No, the first love that covers imperfections, zeal that doesn't look at other people for the love of the spouse, fire to please the person you are in love with.Naively, like any first love situation?
Yes. Naively. Let me share what I imagine here. "Oh, Jim! You can do no wrong! You're the perfect man for me. You're going to make all my dreams comes true. You'll marry me. I'll have my big day. I'll be a mommy. You'll be my husband, and everything will be perfect, and I'll be happy because of you. I'll do anything for you. Just tell me what you want, dream husband of mine!"No, the first love that covers imperfections, zeal that doesn't look at other people for the love of the spouse, fire to please the person you are in love with.
Well, I guess we just have different views of "first love".Yes. Naively. Let me share what I imagine here. "Oh, Jim! You can do no wrong! You're the perfect man for me. Of course, this 'first love' was all about themselves, and filled with expectations of finding happiness for themselves through this 'perfect' other person. This is of course, and immature love, which is really more about personal dream-fulfillment. They don't really know, or see who that other person is, because it's all clouded by this zeal. It is a projection of one's own hopes and dream upon this other person, regardless of the reality of what that other person is actually like.
Hopefully, with time and maturity they can begin to accept this other person as they really are, not this imagine of perfection they want them to be for themselves. I'm just saying, "first love" is typically rose-colored glasses love. That's all.
I always thought there was also the vows taken before God with the consummation of marriage be that in good times or bad..Yes. Naively. Let me share what I imagine here. "Oh, Jim! received him/it? how do you receive what is omnipresent? its neither here nor there, because its everywhere.Loving God as you did when you first received Him as Lord and Savior
I always thought there was also the vows taken before God with the consummation of marriage not be that in good times or bad..
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:received him/it? how do you receive what is omnipresent? its neither here nor there, because its everywhere.
god is first a verb in exodus 3:14 and then a thing in exodus 3:15
colossians 3:11Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Mark 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
Rom 10: 8 In fact, it says,
“The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”
And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
The Upanishad I not know. But It be your expression of love. And yes no greater love has one who lays down their life for their friends.the parable of the two birds from the Mundaka Upanishad is a good example of marriage, or the tree of life and the tree of knowledge, if you will and being one and the same.
or the conference of the birds coming to the end of their journey and finding themself in what they originally thought as other.
the power to love is the most powerful thing in the world, it makes gods/angels out of being.
there is no love in all the world greater than that of a friend who sets aside their wants to help a loved one in need.
love I can't get enough of it and yet I'm full of it.
Your statements doesn't refute my answercolossians 3:11
i am christ
i don't practice idolatry
i realize you have a sunk fallacy but jesus is your brother and another god but there is only one LOVE
i was baptized in the name that jesus speaks of. it is my name too and he professes my name before god
revelation 3:12
The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.
yet you have a sunk fallacy. god is not a respecter of persons. love doesn't promote one person above another because what ever you do unto the least/greatest you have done unto me; if I AM that I AM.Your statements doesn't refute my answer
please quote where I said that God IS a respecter of persons? where did I ever say that God promotes one person above another:?yet you have a sunk fallacy. god is not a respecter of persons. love doesn't promote one person above another because what ever you do unto the least/greatest you have done unto me; if I AM that I AM.
Well then, she wasn't your first love then, since there were others you had to drop after meeting her. If you mean your "true first love", that's just a matter of degrees. Compared to the others, she was "it", your first true love.Well, I guess we just have different views of "first love".
In my case, when I met my wife to be, my first love automatically created in me a desire to drop all other females to pursue this young woman.
As we grow older, we tend to like to remember the past with idyllic fondness. We forget those moments where we were less than ideal about that other person, those moments when that elevated image of them got knocked of our pedestal a little that we had them on.I wanted to spend time with her, know her, shower her with love and respect and just develop a deeper relationship that wasn't based on perfectness of actions but rather perfectness of heart.
Sure, but I think we humans are more alike than dislike, so first loves are pretty commonplace. I'm just saying, hopefully we're not as naive as we were in our youth in the pursuit to be young again in our hopes.Different experiences for different people, I guess.
