You mentioned esports athlete before. Who is your favorite? Do you have a favorite competitive and/or noncompetitive game? Favorite genre? Other nerdy activities?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
No I can't. For two reasons. (1) I don't know that tune. (2) Even if I did know that tune I, full-stop, can't sing in tune at all.

ETA: I just randomly noticed one reason why my avatar may have appealed to me. It reminds me of the video game Ascendancy. Which I like.
When I first saw the capitalized letters I just couldn't help it.... I broke out into song. The letters were just too perfect to resist. *Grin*

It's a catchy tune ......

Actually I mispoke! Who I mentioned as my favorite Esports athlete is the number 1 player of my favorite video game of all time. So he's my favorite for THAT reason. But my favorite in terms of who I enjoy spectating the most is actually somebody else.

The most skilled, #1 athlete, of my favorite video game of all time ... is TheViper, the Age of Empires 2 player. My favorite in terms of who I most enjoy spectating is the player DauT, of the same game. I actually knew him many years ago long before Age of Empires 2 was a spectator sport and before YouTube even existed. I even played in a team game with him once back when he was still an expert but not world-class yet. And I was a newbie but a friend of one of his team mates. Good times.

Age of Empires 2, A.K.A. AoE2, is both my favorite competitive game of all time and my favorite casual game of all time and my favorite game full stop. If we focus on purely causal video games then I have plenty of favorites but Terraria is certainly one my favorites and I love playing it with my girlfriend. Another favorite is Civ 6. Which I also play with my girlfriend. And I also play AoE2 with my girlfriend as well!

My favorite genre is RTS. But I like lots of video game genres. Another one of my favorite games, for instance, is Diablo 2. And some other favorites are a game called Heretic, a game called Magic Carpet and a game called Theme Hospital.

Other nerdy activities? Hm. Does watching, re-watching and re-re-watching all the available Galen Strawson content on YouTube, count?

ETA: Another one of my favorite video games is streets of rage. I like the first 3 games but I like the first best of those three. Second second best. And third least best ... bust still great.

This is not counting the 4th game ...... which I absolutely adore but I haven't played it with my brother yet! I have many good memories playing the first 3 streets of rage games with my brother ... .especially the first one. Can't wait to play the forth one with him eventually. I even bought a Sega Megadrive/Genesis game/joy pad that is compatible with my PC to play the forth game :)

The title of the song reminds me of one of my favorite songs that is, I'm sure, much less well known:

It's, also, the opening song to one of my favorite albums ever.

ETA: I'm trying my absolute best to respond to every single question on this thread and I am extremely excited and happy about the fact I've had so many already. I am new here but I already love this place already [ETA #2: Two alreadys (3 alreadys?! (4 alreadys?!?! ... and so on)) ALREADY?! Meta-ly.] and I hope to be able to stay! If I ever broke any rules it would never be unintentional I've never felt so welcome on a forum and I've been on and off different foroums for the past 12 years. :) I won't speak of where else I've been but that's because I want to put the past behind me and I've grown as a person :)

I am so sorry if, regardless of my compulsion to respond to all questions, I may still fail, nonetheless, to answer all questions that I've been asked. I am absolutely trying my best to answer all and if I fail to answer any it has absolutely 0% to do with me cherry picking what I answer. And it has 100% to do with the fact that I am struggling to answer them all no matter how much I want to .... plus the fact I am currently tipsy on Duvel! :) :) :) !!! :) I hope I won't get banned for saying that I platonically extend love for everybody on these forms ... at least in the sense that I wish the best for absolutely everybody regardless of the fact that my wishing it doesn't make it so! It may be purely genuine intention but it's still purely futile intention nonetheless. It may be purely futile intention but it's purely genuine intention nonetheless. It may be purely genuine intention but it's purely futile intention nonetheless. And so on, and so forth, to infinity! :) :) :) :) :)

I am not meaning to be overly forward or anything ... but perhaps shortly after I join (i.e. now) is the best time to ask me anything.

So, feel free to ask me anything.

Hello, I am studying different theologies and was wondering your take on it. Do you believe in a god or gods? And who are they? How does your belief about 'god(s)' affect/impact your life? How does it affect your practical life? How you spend your time, your priorities, how you act? Many people don't consider to have any theology in life. I want to understand how what someone believes affects their life's in a practical way. Thank you.

Unfortunately I see the OP hasn't been around in a bit, so I'll keep the question simple in case they come back...

Do you like broccoli?
