So it was "Marxist BLM" and "ANTEEFA" who beat a journalist from Australia, wounded an independent photojournalist to such a degree that she lost sight of one eye, and arrested or attacked over 110 other journalists over the course of the BLM protests?

EDIT: And just in case I need to actually state this, that is not an endorsement of what the Chinese police and its hired thugs from the Triads have been doing in Hong Kong since last year. It is the exact opposite of an endorsement. When faced with serious protests, security forces tend to reveal themselves for what they are, a bunch of violent thugs hired to brutalize the population.

And that seems to be the case regardless of who is ostensibly in charge of the government, or how much said government ostensibly cares about basic human rights: In the face of civil unrest, the answer always seems to be naked violence.

Looks like the right is ignoring all the anti-democratic efforts of the right and the American police to try to turn the evil China is doing into an anti-Biden tirade.

Trump wants to do what Xi does but he has not degraded our democracy enough yet to get away with it.

And the fanatic right is moving further into conspiracy land (Qanon). Can more violence from the right be far behind.

But you have to understand that if so many of those on the right can't use stereotypes then they would have nothing to say. You see, life is so simple for them, so why would you want to post facts that could throw them into utter confusion???

Any threat to the freedom of any individual is a disservice to humanity. Communism is the parasite that took the country over in the 50s and the parasite will try to expand further which is the threat.

Fortunately based on what I read, it appears that Taiwan is opening its borders to anybody who wants to escape Hong Kong and come over there.

What with a high probability of being the origin for the worst pandemic to hit us in recent times, being heavy-handed with their neighbours (or others like the USA, Canada, Australia, or some Scandinavian countries), and with being all too invasive commercially or disregarding accepted behaviour, this must be the cherry on the cake for presenting China to be the new bogeyman of newly powerful nations.

Congratulate your PR team on such a Stirling effort - not learnt much from others it seems. Promises, promises - just something that the Chinese government view more as Chinese Whispers - or perhaps more like as Lewis Carroll wrote - "When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’". So agreement means what China means it to mean.
