Chinese Drone Threat Conspiracy

A new conspiracy theory might suggest that as most drones are made in China.
That they might contain code that could hand them over to Chinese operators.
Who knows what their components contain, and might be used for.
There are now tens of thousands of them in the USA, and fully operational.
They might be more dangerous than 5G.

Is this just a stupid thought or a real concern?

One could simply disassemble one and examine it thoroughly, and once the cover is blown, that's it. It doesn't seem very feasible to me.
If they wanted something done with a drone, it would be a lot simpler, less risky, and more discreet to have an agent in place with their own drone rather than risk exposure by remotely commandeering some random consumer's drone.

So why are we so worried about Huawei 5G, If control is so easy to detect.?
They now build in code to stop their use in restricted areas using GPS data.
What other code is there.?

I don't know; I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject. But recording sound and video via phone can be done passively and discreetly, whereas a drone taking flight by itself will obviously get attention.

You are not taking this conspiracy thing very seriously. They might be programmed to drop fairy dust on us and turn us all into zombies for all I know. But it might be far worse.?

People can come up with a conspiracy theory about absolutely ANYTHING. Do you have any evidence that THIS particular theory is true or is it just as likely the product of a paranoid person's imagination?

I don't think it's at the 'stupid thought' level.
I can't imagine that information from drones is as useful as information from phones, but passive 'piggy-backing' would be possible.

I would suggest that there's possibly some level of investigation on this already occurring though, but I'm guessing there really.

Interestingly I can not now find anything at all on the web about this.
Which is strange in itself.
Perhaps we are not ment to know anything about it.
