An academic has raised the possibility of Jesus Christ having had an intersex condition, of having inside lady parts:
I had to tick 'other' because we could only make a good guess based upon the balance of probability.
But your academic is quite ignorant about such probabilities, I think.

If we believe him to be a mere historical figure, I think the answer is “why not?”
Because Magdalene stuck with him to the end, she with her friend Salome and some other women the only ones with guts enough to follow him all the sway to execution.
I reckon he and Magdalene were lovers, so...... I think Jesus was a bloke.

But of course, there is no way of ever knowing…
So your 'certainly' answers were not much use., eh?

And of course, at the end of the day I don’t think it matters, not at all
.... but you asked.........

Jesus may have been a hermaphrodite, claims academic

I made a post about this in December 2018 but I’m asking again, this time with a poll

When I did this, back in 2018, someone basically said that there’s as much chance of him having been a chimpanzee than an intersex person, which is silly if we acknowledge the fact that 1.7% births can be classed as intersex – which doesn’t include those with an intersex condition who look “normal” on the outside…

But was Jesus Christ intersex?

If we believe him to be a mere historical figure, I think the answer is “why not?”

But if we believe him to be a part of the Godhead, divine as well as human, then it would make perfect sense. What if God wanted to join humanity as a woman but all the societies were deeply patriarchal and misogynistic? Who would ignore and persecute an intelligent and articulate woman? Well, then he’d send the next best thing!

But of course, there is no way of ever knowing…

And of course, at the end of the day I don’t think it matters, not at all

If Jesus is an omnipotent god, then he's capable of meeting any and every qualification for "maleness" or "femaleness" that anyone could dream up.

Jesus was intersex? He would have to exist first to have deformed (or superior) genitals. So this person is saying Jesus existed and had weird genitals? Am I misreading?

I highly doubt that would be the idea of any person with a Jewish background who was not hostile to Jesus, as having weird or imperfect genitals was a cause to be removed from the assembly of God.

For example, like Sutekh, due to a surgery, one of my testacles was removed.

Deuteronomy 23:1
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD

So, I am forsaken, even though I'm circumcized, but to say that the genitals of the one they consider God are weird, is some kind of insidious way to try to say Jesus could not be in the assembly of God due to his imperfect or weird genitalia or that he was like a female who have a lower standing than males? Who is the evil idiot who is saying this?

I'm not even going to respond to the poll. Why don't you concern yourself with those things that actually matter, like what we need to do to receive eternal life?

Ironically funny.

If the question of whether Jesus was intersex isn't important enough to think about, how much less important is the question you raise: whether random people on the internet are using their time the way you think they should?

It's fine for you to be into your religion - everybody needs a hobby, after all - but don't assume that everybody has to think that your religion is the most important thing ever just because you do.

Can you write about that in detail and using quotes from scriptures that explain step by step what is required at bare minimum and what is required in total for the best results according to what you are aware of so far? I'd really appreciate it!

Hi 9-10ths Penguin. Good afternoon. Yahshua the Messiah was a man and as a result he had the anatomy of a man. It's offensive to me that you would reduce the Savior of mankind to this. It really is not worth discussing as I can no doubt imagine that nothing will convince the OP that Yahshua the Messiah was intersex. He was a man. He was descended from King David to be the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world.

Secondly Penguin, my religion isn't a hobby. It's a way of life and it's to be taken seriously because the Word is the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21). You don't have to think my religion is important, but I would appreciate some respect concerning the Prince of Life, not to reduce him to a discussion about his reproductive or sexual anatomy which is being argued doesn't fit the typical definitions of female or male. This is horrible. Yahshua came to teach a way of life. Let's concentrate on that rather than this foolishness of what he may have looked like. And it is foolishness, believe me (Proverbs 24:9).

Hi DagonVarunaMitraApolloZan. Good afternoon.

Matthew 19:15 - 17 has the answer:
"16 And behold, one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why askest thou me concerning that which is good? One there is who is good: but if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments."

The next logical question would be what are the commandments.

Yes. So what are they and how are each performed?

Its not all these right? If it is, how is each performed and fulfilled daily?

The 613 Commandments (Mitzvot)

Also, I had a medical surgery due to serious illness, how do you take this or am I disqualified now:

Deuteronomy 23:1
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD

What hope is there for me? How easy is it to do whatever needs to be done in detail daily.

What do you do and how do you spend the roughly 15 waking hours of a day and each of the days of the week and months and what holidays and what actions and why is this believed to be from God and pleasing to God? What authorities or scriptures are we putting our faith and trust in and why?

Thank you in advance for your forthcoming thorough answers to each of these questions.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect

Hi DagonVarunaMitraApolloZan.

In my faith, we affirm that as obedient children it is necessary to keep all of the commandments, statutes, and judgments (except the ritual and animal sacrifice Laws) which the Heavenly Father gave to Israel to make them a separate people, Leviticus 20:7-8; Deuteronomy 6:6-9, 25; Deuteronomy 7:6-11; Matthew 5:17-20; Romans 7:12. It is now possible through the Holy Spirit to keep these commandments by faith for our salvation, Ephesians 2:8-10; Jacob 2:17-20. We now keep a spiritual sacrifice rather than animal sacrifices, meal, and drink offerings, Hebrews 13:15-16; 1 Peter 2:5; Romans 12:1; Philippians 4:18.

— Statement of Doctrine, point 6[8]

We also profess to follow the Old and New Testaments as closely as possible. This causes us to be viewed as an admixture of Judaism and Christianity, although we do not actually mix Christian or Jewish doctrines with the teachings of the Scriptures. We believe that in order to understand the will of Yahweh, the Bible must be harmonized and adhered to as infallible. Members believe it is integral to keep the commandments of Yahweh including the seventh day Sabbath from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown (Exodus 20:8), the holy days as defined in Leviticus 23 and Deuteronomy 16, and a diet of clean foods as defined in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Romans 7:12 clearly states "So that the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good."

The Law is a good thing, it was never annulled but rather strengthened. The Messiah didn't do away with adultery for example, but he said that even looking at a woman and lusting after her is a form of adultery. In terms of your question, I would be lying if I told you I had the answer to that because in my faith I have never come across anything like that and I'm hesitant to weigh in on my personal opinion on that matter. I'm just a student, not a teacher. If you like I can ask my faith and see what they say.

What do I do with my week. Well, I work, I have a paid job. Out of work I do charitable things, like helping the homeless, working on a community project or studying. I don't have the internet so I only use it when I'm out, after work, during work while I'm on my break etc. In terms of holidays, the next holiday we are celebrating is Shavuoth. It's a very enjoyable day where we remember the ratification of the Covenant and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the commandments of Yahweh (Deuteronomy 16:10).

Hi 9-10ths Penguin. Good afternoon. Yahshua the Messiah was a man and as a result he had the anatomy of a man. It's offensive to me that you would reduce the Savior of mankind to this.
It seems presumptuous of you to insist that I treat Jesus as "the Savior of mankind" when you've given me no reason whatsoever to do so.

It really is not worth discussing as I can no doubt imagine that nothing will convince the OP that Yahshua the Messiah was intersex. He was a man. He was descended from King David to be the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world.
To me, it's an open question as to whether Jesus existed at all, or whether the character in the Bible was an amalgam of several people.

Secondly Penguin, my religion isn't a hobby. It's a way of life and it's to be taken seriously because the Word is the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21).
I've personally risked my life for my hobbies. "Hobby" <> "unimportant."

You don't have to think my religion is important, but I would appreciate some respect concerning the Prince of Life, not to reduce him to a discussion about his reproductive or sexual anatomy which is being argued doesn't fit the typical definitions of female or male.
I think your religion is important to you, which is all it needs to be.

As for respect... Christianity is imposed on non-Christians in countless ways, from tax subsidies for churches to proselytizing to trying to make this a "Christian nation." Our right to say what we please about Jesus has been bought and paid for. If you don't like it, take this up with the proselytizers, anti-secularists, and sucklers-at-the-taxpayer-teat among your co-religionists.

This is horrible. Yahshua came to teach a way of life. Let's concentrate on that rather than this foolishness of what he may have looked like. And it is foolishness, believe me (Proverbs 24:9).
Here's the thing:

- "this is against my religion, so I can't do it" - religious freedom
- "this is against my religion, so you can't do it" - religious tyranny
