I saw a news special about a new homeless shelter in Dallas possibly more then that. They said they were taking in alcoholics and drug addicts. Addicts got to get out and do drugs and alcohol. Don't know how it's gonna stop them from getting the virus and giving the virus away, they still will go out on the streets to buy drugs.

This is a disaster, and I hope the homeless don't spread the virus a lot more. I hear there's a big problem in prisons with the virus going around. How are the homeless shelters handling it?

Regular homeless shelters are as bad as prisons with overcrowding etc spreading the virus among everyone there. If the new shelters have separate rooms and separate bathrooms then there will be natural isolation and the spread will be checked.

They are probably safer out of doors than in. There are charities in California that build single-mat weather proof cubicles for people to sleep in, and keep to their belonging in, safely, and drop them off in places where the homeless congregate. They also have portable toilets dropped off nearby. It's how many of these people prefer to live, anyway.

Unfortunately the municipalities consider these illegal shelters and so come and destroy them, regularly. And they will fine the charities if they catch them dropping this stuff off. I think if we could develop a cohesive response, we could do a lot to help thwart the virus spreading among the homeless. But sadly, most people just don't care enough to be bothered.
