Conspiracy theories on Bill Gates and possible vaccine hamper efforts

New Yahoo News/YouGov poll shows coronavirus conspiracy theories spreading on the right may hamper vaccine efforts

Seems RW gossip has tricked those on the right...again. How do we fix this problem in society?
According to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll, 44 percent of Republicans believe that Bill Gates is plotting to use a mass COVID-19 vaccination campaign as a pretext to implant microchips in billions of people and monitor their movements — a widely debunked conspiracy theory with no basis in fact.

The survey, which was conducted May 20 and 21, found that only 26 percent of Republicans correctly identify the story as false.

In contrast, just 19 percent of Democrats believe the same spurious narrative about the Microsoft founder and public-health philanthropist. A majority of Democrats recognize that it’s not true.

75% of people on the right aren't sure that Bill Gates isn't going to inject a gubmint "chip" with the vaccine?

I can't understand why the right wing would have such a problem with Bill Gates. After all, he's a capitalist success story, and the right wing loves capitalism. If they're really that worried about someone getting that wealthy and powerful so as to use it for some evil, nefarious purpose (not that I'm saying he is), then they should have favored more regulation and restraint on the capitalist world.

The weird thing is they probably all have cell phones and post location shots to twitter and facebook real time. Why would anyone need to put a chip in people already giving up there privacy.

I think the folks at Frito-Lay may be involved in this chip conspiracy. Look at all the chips that they've put in people already. And they don't even have to force people; they do it voluntarily.

Might want to ask Scott G. McNealy that question about Gates.

Let's see, destruction by virus or destruction by starvation and the total annihilation of our economy and infrastructure?

I really don't think we're going to have much of a society anymore.

Noticed a lot of things with this site that isn't going well, especially censorship, where you even question anything about covid 19, they delete it. They deleted a topic, within a few minutes.

I wanted to share this and hope this helps. I think you'll realize why they were so eager to take it down.

Of course I realize why they would want to take that garbage down and I hope they do. But a couple of points.

Yes, the type of masks that people are wearing are not designed to protect the wearer. They are designed to protect other people around them. If you are wearing one of those masks, and some idiot who is not wearing a mask coughs on you, or even breaths in your face the mask will do little to help you. But if you are wearing the mask you are much less likely to infect others. Your breath, coughs etc will not project very far if you are wearing the mask. That is the point.

I won’t even respond to nonsense about the Illuminati or people working with aliens. But sane people living in reality understand that this pandemic is killing thousands of people each and every day. This is not a hoax. This nonsense literally comes from the same kind of conspiracy nuts that promote 9/11 conspiracy nonsense.

I have to wonder how many people used their iPhone to text about their fear of having a tracking device planted on them.

Well, I'm perfectly OK with rational people getting vaccinated and the QAnon right skipping vaccines. America can get along just fine with 230,000,000 people.

BTW, where do you stand on getting yourself vaccinated?
