God And Homosexuality

He made a thread about blacks being the real Jews but it's apparently been deleted. I knew I remembered him from somewhere. You can ask @Rival and @Harel13.

But what does that have to do with this thread?

Is what Frank said true?
I don't remember this thread, so I don't know. I'm asking you, point blank, is what Frank said true?

The vague nonanswer you just posted suggests that it is. But you don't want to admit it is true. That's evidence, to me.

It's not an either/or thing.

And who said that it was? Where do any biblical scholars state what color the Jews of the bible are? :tearsofjoy:

PS, here you go:

Ashkenazic Jews' mysterious origins unravelled by scientists thanks to ancient DNA

"For a more scientific take on the Jewish origin debate, recent DNA analysis of Ashkenazic Jews – a Jewish ethnic group – revealed that their maternal line is European. It has also been found that their DNA only has 3% ancient ancestry which links them with the Eastern Mediterranean (also known as the Middle East) – namely Israel, Lebanon, parts of Syria, and western Jordan. This is the part of the world Jewish people are said to have originally come from – according to the Old Testament. But 3% is a minuscule amount, and similar to what modern Europeans as a whole share with Neanderthals. So given that the genetic ancestry link is so low, Ashkenazic Jews most recent ancestors must be from elsewhere."

Yes, I created a thread full of historical evidences which stated that the ancient Israelites resembled black africans in appearance.

But what does that have to do with this thread, and homosexuality and the bible?

Shall I begin looking through your post history and everyone else's post history as well, in order to come up with an argument against you in this thread?

Ahem.

This thread will not be derailed by yet another, "Who are the 'real' Jews?" debate. So quit.

Because scriptures like Isaiah 60:11-12 (among many others) are a literal checkmate to your entire doctrine.

Doesn't Isaiah 60:11-12 say that the gentiles will serve the Israelites in the kingdom or be destroyed?
Checkmate?

Nothing in Isaiah 60 contradicts what I have said.

I honestly don't understand why you believe that it does.

Why - in your mind - are Gentiles unable to serve Israel and also be made heirs of the promise through their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as stated in Hebrews 12, Galatians 3 and Romans 8?

Even if the verses in Isaiah contradicted what is contained in these New Testament verses (they don't) - why would you side with Isaiah over Paul?

There is no "checkmate" - just your bias and you ignoring the entirety of the scriptures.

There is no "checkmate" - just your bias and you ignoring the entirety of the scriptures.

If your doctrine causes the entirety of the scriptures to contradict themselves (which it does) then you are the one with the bias who is ignoring the entirety of the scriptures.

Amos 9:11-12 says that in the kingdom, the Israelites will possess all of the heathen (non-Israelites). How is being possessed by the Israelites "being an heir" to the promise?

Isaiah 14:1-2 goes on further to say that the Israelites will rule over the other people and have the people as handmaids and servants. How is being a handmaid/servant to the Israelites "being an heir" to the promise?

Isaiah 60:11-12 says that the gentiles will serve the Israelites, and the nation that refuses to serve the Israelites will be completely destroyed. How is forced servitude "being an heir" to the promise?

Isaiah 61:5-6 says that while the Israelites will be priests and ministers of the LORD, the strangers (non-Israelites) will feed the flocks of the Israelites, as well as be their plowmen and vinedressers (field work). How is that "being an heir" to the promise?

Your doctrine is the one that makes the scriptures contradict each other when read in their entirety, not mine.

Your equivocation of sexual orientation with things like murder is appaling at best.

The sad thing is that you probably don't even realise what a horrible thing you just did.

Your accusation isn't against me, but against God. It's also illogical:

The Bible is against things that cause harm to their adherents. This includes illicit sexuality (STDs, broken lives, unplanned pregnancy), drug abuse, etc..

Nothing you have shared contradicts what I have said.

Why do you assume that a servant cannot inherit the promises made to Abraham?

Within Israel there are servants and masters - both of which of the seed of Abraham and heirs to the promises.

Do you believe that God nullifies the promises if the person happens to be a servant?

Also - aren't you of the opinion that "Gentiles" descend from Israel anyway?

I honestly do not understand.

What do you believe these verses are saying?

This is demonstrably false.
You are the one making the claims, not God.

It's also illogical:

The Bible is against things that cause harm to their adherents. This includes illicit sexuality (STDs, broken lives, unplanned pregnancy), drug abuse, etc..

Again, this is demonstrably false. A same sex couple in a healthy adult relationship aren't harming themselves or anyone else.

Quite the contrary. Homophobes claiming to be spokesman for God do cause a lot of damage. That's evident to anybody who learns enough about the situation to have an informed opinion. Whatever flavor of Abrahamic religion you adhere to clearly doesn't teach the value of informed opinions.

Substituting the primitive ethics of long dead people for information that's easily available doesn't make you a spokesman for God.

A psuedo-scientific ex-gay group that promotes the torture known as conversion therapy? Boy, you're really digging in the sewers now.

Flush. Attacking the website because you can't fathom the arguments contained in the article itself that I posted is really sophomoric.

You might as well have posted something from a YEC site or the Flat Earth Society. If your source is disreputable nonsense, there's no point in wasting time reading it.
