I said linguistic experts, not "biblical interpreters".
It's not an either/or thing.Okay, and where do any biblical scholars make the claim that white people are Israelites? Sorry... but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one here who is laughing.
But what does that have to do with this thread?
It's not an either/or thing.
Is what Frank said true?
I don't remember this thread, so I don't know. I'm asking you, point blank, is what Frank said true?
The vague nonanswer you just posted suggests that it is. But you don't want to admit it is true. That's evidence, to me.
Tom
I'm not worried about anybody, this thread is a thread that deals with God and homosexuality. All I'm doing is showing and explaining how the scriptures condemn and speak against people who practice homosexuality to people who falsely claim that the bible does not condemn and speak out against people who practice homosexuality.
Checkmate?Because scriptures like Isaiah 60:11-12 (among many others) are a literal checkmate to your entire doctrine.
Doesn't Isaiah 60:11-12 say that the gentiles will serve the Israelites in the kingdom or be destroyed?
There is no "checkmate" - just your bias and you ignoring the entirety of the scriptures.
What credentials do you have to make this claim?
I speak for the bible. The text is clear and concise in regards to homosexuality and those who practice it.
Your equivocation of sexual orientation with things like murder is appaling at best.
The sad thing is that you probably don't even realise what a horrible thing you just did.
Nothing you have shared contradicts what I have said.If your doctrine causes the entirety of the scriptures to contradict themselves (which it does) then you are the one with the bias who is ignoring the entirety of the scriptures.
Amos 9:11-12 says that in the kingdom, the Israelites will possess all of the heathen (non-Israelites). How is being possessed by the Israelites "being an heir" to the promise?
Isaiah 14:1-2 goes on further to say that the Israelites will rule over the other people and have the people as handmaids and servants. How is being a handmaid/servant to the Israelites "being an heir" to the promise?
Isaiah 60:11-12 says that the gentiles will serve the Israelites, and the nation that refuses to serve the Israelites will be completely destroyed. How is forced servitude "being an heir" to the promise?
Isaiah 61:5-6 says that while the Israelites will be priests and ministers of the LORD, the strangers (non-Israelites) will feed the flocks of the Israelites, as well as be their plowmen and vinedressers (field work). How is that "being an heir" to the promise?
Your doctrine is the one that makes the scriptures contradict each other when read in their entirety, not mine.
god is male and female. it isn't divided into physical parts. what god hath joined together isn't my business to separate/divide into parts
A psuedo-scientific ex-gay group that promotes the torture known as conversion therapy? Boy, you're really digging in the sewers now.
This is demonstrably false.Your accusation isn't against me, but against God.
It's also illogical:
The Bible is against things that cause harm to their adherents. This includes illicit sexuality (STDs, broken lives, unplanned pregnancy), drug abuse, etc..
A psuedo-scientific ex-gay group that promotes the torture known as conversion therapy? Boy, you're really digging in the sewers now.
god is male and female.
You might as well have posted something from a YEC site or the Flat Earth Society. If your source is disreputable nonsense, there's no point in wasting time reading it.Flush. Attacking the website because you can't fathom the arguments contained in the article itself that I posted is really sophomoric.
