I guess I am just fortunate my physical health has been good. I know all about respiratory ailments as my husband has severe asthma and he has to use a nebulizer machine to stay alive. He did smoke but he finally quit about 25 years ago.
I have always stayed physically active so that might be one reason I am healthy. I do not eat terribly bad but I am not a health nut either. I really need to get more sleep on my work days because 4-5 hours does not cut it. I have been on a stay at home vacation for three weeks but I go back to work next week. That means less posts and more bike riding. I do not mind that but I do mind getting up at 5 am.
Been there, done that, in regards to smoking and asthma. I was never too heavy of a smoker, but I could feel it making my own breathing getting worse. When I quit my body gave me one last heck of an asthma attack, I think mainly because I was not being forced to cough up the nastiness from smoking. As a result I was in the hospital for three days. My doctor said that I would start smoking again since my roommate smokes. He was wrong I have noticed an improvement in the 8 years since I quit. Did your husband improve after he quit?
