Do Governments use Corona to push their agenda?

By now, most countries across the world have introduced some form of extraordinary measures to battle coronavirus, and even many democratic governments have faced little dissent over changes that in normal times would have been met with months or years of furious parliamentary debate. But what happens when the pandemic is over?

I am curious, when corona is over, how much the Governments have conveniently changed in their advantage (see Note)

Did you see this happening already?
Or do you expect certain things to happen?
Or do you trust your Government to never do such a thing?

Note: I mean, some people in power sometimes abuse their power, to make the money flow their way, instead of to the normal people. Make themselves richer, or their comrades.

Everything that happens will be used to serve an agenda.
This isn't being cynical. It would be irresponsible to not
pursue what one believes to be right when opportunity
presents itself. Of course, it can be really annoying too.

In a democracy, their agenda is supposed to be the people's agenda.
