Internalised misogyny and women’s issues

Maybe intersectionality Feminism can help me pin point this more accurately
I caught this video essay on abortion in media and how it relates to female voices. And no, it is not anti abortion, it actively celebrates and argues for choice.
It’s a frank talk about a woman’s perspective and how that media relates to the issue

And I know I’ve been critical of intersectionality in the past. But in hindsight, maybe it did have something to do with internalised misogyny and how I perceived myself. I was always a tomboy, constantly told that I would never land a man if I continued to be myself. Even movies I grew up with that actively sympathised with the aforementioned tomboy (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) told me that I had to change to be happy. I just was too young to realise the message

So can this form our views? And how can we “break free” from these constraints?
