The kingdom of God has been right around the corner for 2000 years.

I'm confident that it won't appear before my soul rejoins the Ground of Being.
Tom

It never will "appear",
it is a conscious state of Being that we each have to realize (make real).

This is what it means to "raise the consciousness".
In effect, it is "thinking" exactly as God "thinks".
How can you do otherwise when He is in you and you are in Him ?

Cats will inevitably take over the US government, as depicted in this scene where they've completely taken over the US Capitol.

A servant is not a slave.
A Servant of God chooses to serve God.

lol.....I'm just trying to understand what God needs from anybody.
Can't be much of a "God" if he NEEDS a "servant" …..or anything else for that matter.

In fact, this fallacy alone should tell you something,

There is no fallacy because God does not need any servants. God has no needs at all since God is fully self-sufficient and independent of all His creatures.

“Regard thou the one true God as One Who is apart from, and immeasurably exalted above, all created things. The whole universe reflecteth His glory, while He is Himself independent of, and transcendeth His creatures.” Gleanings, p. 166

It is only for human benefit that we serve God, not for God's benefit, since God needs nothing from us.

“Consider the mercy of God and His gifts. He enjoineth upon you that which shall profit you, though He Himself can well dispense with all creatures.” Gleanings, p. 140

“The one true God, exalted be His glory, hath wished nothing for Himself. The allegiance of mankind profiteth Him not, neither doth its perversity harm Him. The Bird of the Realm of Utterance voiceth continually this call: “All things have I willed for thee, and thee, too, for thine own sake.” Gleanings, p. 260

So what is the "human benefit" you get from serving God ?
To continue living and not be put to death ?

Since He is "independent of ALL His "creatures", I would assume that he can kill you .

We serve God because the Bible tells us to serve God. The Baha'i Writings say the same thing about service.

So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Whoever wants to serve me must follow me, so that my servant will be with me where I am. And my Father will honor anyone who serves me. (John 12:26)

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45)

Service to God is the highest station to which anyone can attain.
For our sacrifice and service we are rewarded both in this life and especially in the afterlife.

Nobody is ever put to death. We live till we die and then our souls go to the spiritual world. Souls who were close to God will gain eternal life, the other souls won't. Service to God gets you closer to God and thereby confers eternal life.

In an instant..... that is what dispense with all creatures means.

“Consider the mercy of God and His gifts. He enjoineth upon you that which shall profit you, though He Himself can well dispense with all creatures.” Gleanings, p. 140

“Your Lord, the God of mercy, can well dispense with all creatures. Nothing whatever can either increase or diminish the things He doth possess. If ye believe, to your own behoof will ye believe; and if ye believe not, ye yourselves will suffer.” Gleanings, p. 148

You said it yourself, "whoever wants to serve me must follow me".
He is saying we must be and become exactly like He is ( "follow me" ).

Also, this is the difference between your 'God' and mine,
I can NEVER be killed, because I am He, and He is me.

Follow me means follow His example and His teachings, it does not mean become Him.
Nobody can be a Jesus Christ except Jesus Christ.

I can never be killed either because my soul is me and my soul is eternal.

Wrong answer. I am "Christed", and I am not alone either.
The "Christ", the Spirit of the Living God, is in everyone. If you fail to "realize" this ( make it REAL ),
then you will simply "die in your sin (ignorance)", and return again in another body (reincarnation) to live again in this flesh.

" If you bring forth what is IN you, what is IN you will save you. If you do not bring forth what is IN you,
what is IN you will kill you " (Gospel of Thomas)
