FCC receives 1300 complaints over Super Bowl halftime show

I've only bothered with one Superbowl in my adult life. The only reason I agreed to go to the Superbowl party was because the host's wife was doing the food, and she's really good.

Two of the other attendees were Steve and his stepson Zeke. Steve is a serious orthodox Christian. He took Zeke for a walk outside during halftime because he didn't approve of the usual halftime entertainment, at least not for 14y/o boys in his charge. Zeke wasn't happy, but Steve runs his own family the way he thinks it should be run. And Zeke knew better than to cause trouble because Steve runs certain things like "family entertainment".

Steve doesn't complain or boycott he takes responsibility for his decisions. One was to watch the game with his son. Another was to prevent his son from being exposed to stuff like gyrating women on TV.

Zeke can just watch it online, later, maybe between porn sessions. Does Steve really think he can "protect" Zeke from racy images?
The forbidden is always titillating. Hide racy videos and Zeke could be obsessed with them for life.

Using sex to sell. No matter what it is.
Unfortunately, though, it works.
As long as sex is hidden and treated as a forbidden fruit, people will be enamored of it.
The remedy: stop hiding it. Treat it as an ordinary part of life, and it'll soon become a yawn.
