Are there people in RF who see them self as prophets of mankind?

Oh yes. More than one.

If the 'true prophet' did not proselytize, and otherwise follows the rules, then they would be fine on RF.

On the other hand, many people who think of themselves as prophets or world-savers find themselves in violation of rule 8.

8. Preaching/Proselytizing
Creating (or linking to) content intended to convert/recruit others to your religion, spirituality, sect/denomination, or lack thereof is not permitted. Similarly, attempting to convert others away from their religion, spiritual convictions, or sect/denomination will also be considered a form of preaching. Stating opinions as a definitive matter of fact (i.e., without "I believe/feel/think" language, and/or without references) may be moderated as preaching.
I got dinged for that once.
(Really...the notions which spring into the brains of some mods, eh.)
Using logic, I must be a prophet.

Disobey me at your peril !!!

Have you thought about that maybe some people see them self as prophet of some sort who are within this forum? Would it be ok if a true prophet actually did become member?

And No i am not thinking i am one :D i would be a very confused prophet :p
ok.....do not call me good
no one is good but the Father

as for being a son of God......
if you have recited the Lord's Prayer
you have declared yourself a son of God in so doing
heaven heard it
so too the devil

good luck with that

as for me and my own sense of position.....
I am a scribe

wish me luck with that
heaven is looking over my shoulder as I post
and the Fallen get a copy of this memo

I don't think anyone on this forum is or has ever been a prophet. Because prophet's get messages directly from God, not from books, and they can predict future events.

...But I've seen a lot of people who *pretend* to be prophets. For they tend to use old, outdated words like thus, and say wildly obnoxious things about others for whom they disagree. ;)

and why they are without honor in their own house.....perhaps ?

At least one forum poster has declared himself to be one.

When I was in graduate school I was very schizophrenic and thought I was a prophet. Many schizophrenics think so. I thought that anyone could be a prophet if they only support themselves with and associate with totally non-corrupt entities. By that definition, I wouldn't be able to be a prophet now even if I still believed this.

I think that if there were such a person - a "true prophet" - then they would be completely over-shadowed by all the tens of thousands of false prophets - and that no one could tell the difference between him/her and the countless charlatans/lunatics

This wouldn't occur to someone who is truly deluded into thinking they're a prophet
