I have questions, regarding "End Times" in Christianity:

1) What events are going to happen?
2) In what order will such events occur?

Extra kudos for citing passages from the bible :)

End Times, and the final events will be rapid ones:

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

It is a reference to the days of the dark ages and the persecution thereof, "after the tribulation of those days" (referred to in Daniel 7:25, 12:7; Revelation 11:2-3, 12:6,14, 13:5; Luke 21:24.)

And as such, ties directly to the events of the 6th Seal, currently under way:

Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

We are right now, between those two verses.

The other events in it, already took place (history).

Earthquake – Lisbon, AD November 1, 1755 (to be followed up, there was an earthquake at Jesus death, and there was an earthquake at His resurrection (both of which involved Angels, including Gabriel), interesting is the fact that there are endtime events which parallel those in the events of Jesus in AD 31, sandwiched between two earthquakes, like a special resurrection, etc, see details in the Desire of Ages and Great Controversy)

Very difficult question. Part of it is because people generally misunderstand the nature of a few works, specifically Revelations. According to mainstream scholars, the book of Revelations isn't about the end times, but is about things happening at the time in which the book is being written. It was written in a code so as to not invite the wrath of Rome, which the book is really taking to task. However, the book has later been reinterpreted to be speaking of the end times, and that is where a lot of the end times prophecies happen.

Instead, we should be looking at Jesus, Paul, and the apocalyptic or eschatological teachings within Judaism. Looking at Josephus, he mentions a few would be messiahs who try to usher in the end times. In each case, we have something similar happening. There is a group that goes out to the wilderness, and then begins a march into Jerusalem (and generally they are slaughtered). The idea was that by marching into Jerusalem, God would intervene and Rome would be cast away, so that the Kingdom of God could be set up in its place.

Jesus probably had a similar view. It's why he went into the Temple and "destroyed" it. It was a symbolic destruction that was meant to be seen as a cleansing that preceded God's setting up His Kingdom. Many view the actions of Jesus as being someone who is trying to force God to usher in this new Kingdom.

What both views had in similar was that what amounted to the end times simply would be the destruction of the earthly kingdom, and the ushering in of a new Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. They also thought they could help force it.

We get a bit of a different view from Paul. Paul believes he is living in the end times, and that it would happen before he was dead. He thought it was immanent. Part of this had to do with the idea of resurrection. Jesus being resurrected, for Paul, wasn't something unique. It signified the start of the general resurrection, a view that Jews had had for quite some time, and a view that was part of the Pharisaic school. Some of his churches even thought that the resurrection already happened, such as the Corinthians, who some believed they themselves had been resurrected. Paul then had to clear that up for them.

Paul also took on the view of Jeremiah and other Hebrew prophets, namely the idea that every knee shall bow at the end of times. This is why Paul goes out to the Gentiles and doesn't advocate for them to convert, because it wasn't necessary when God set up his kingdom. Every nation would be welcomed in, they just needed to hear the message.

Now that is not at all what I was expecting and makes very interesting reading.

Present!

Revelation 12 is understood after the following manner:

Revelation as a whole, along with Daniel may be seen in fullness of structure here -

I also want to include, as a Seventh-day Adventist, the material from the Spirit of Prophecy, in matters of OP, very comprehensive (detailed):

The Book Great Controversy also sheds great light, Read (listen to) First Chapter and appropriate later chapters (around chapter 35 Liberty of Conscience Threatened unto the ending)

Well one must say it did happen as such one can quote dates to you.

The 'Glory of God' has come via the Gate facing East.

But first the Two Witnesses had to come and give prophecy for 1260 years. The 7 kingdoms and 10 Kings of the Beast had to subdue the Holy land and hold it captive until the Gospel was preached throughout the Nations, for 1260 years.

So in the year 1260, which was 1844 the edict of toleration was signed and the time of the Gentiles was fulfilled.

May 22nd 1844, the Gate opened, the Bab declared that He was the promised one in Scriptures and in 9 tumultuous years prepared the way for the Glory of God, Baha'u'llah, the Father. In 1863 Baha'u'llah openly declared His mission.

All supported in the Bible and other scriptures.

Regards Tony
