Christian Moms Complain About Lack of “Respect and Dignity” in Super Bowl Halftime Show

The division is one's own choice over Godliness.
It is not a choice for me.

I've experienced so many people telling me that their God image and Scripture are the true ones, but then backtracked on the reason and evidence, insisting that if I just trusted them(and not all the zillions of other religionists making the same claim) then I would understand that they really do know God better than almost anyone.

Sorry. I'm not capable of choosing a human authority on the great divine any more. It's not possible at this time. If there is a God who cares about that, He's the one making the choice.
Not me.

And that is more true than any claims made by a 19th century "messenger". You may prefer to believe differently, but I know.

You have hit upon a key aspect to this Tom and it is that Faith is indeed a Gift from God, it is not something that anyone deserves or has earned.

From what I have found, that gift is available to all but it appears to have a trigger where we become open to the possibility and at that moment we face the choice that will decide if we except the gift or leave it to remain unopened.

I found what I had read, if it is of interest, then I gift it for meditation.

"Be thankful to God for having enabled you to recognize His Cause. Whoever has received this blessing must, prior to his acceptance, have performed some deed which, though he himself was unaware of its character, was ordained by God as a means whereby he has been guided to find and embrace the Truth. As to those who have remained deprived of such a blessing, their acts alone have hindered them from recognizing the truth of this Revelation. We cherish the hope that you, who have attained to this light, will exert your utmost to banish the darkness of superstition and unbelief from the midst of the people. May your deeds proclaim your faith and enable you to lead the erring into the paths of eternal salvation."

(Baha'u'llah, quoted in Shoghi Effendi, The Dawn-Breakers, p. 586)

I can assure you that the wording is for personal reflection, I do not see it is written to make a person who may have embraced a cause feel that are better than any other person.

So lacking faith, and by implication ending up in hell, is a crap-shoot when one is born.

I see God already knows what our choices will be and this gives great meaning to this passage;

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things".

I see every minute we are given choices, to know God or not to know God, that choice on RF is a daily dose. As such each moment is a choice of virtues.

That is another reason not to judge any other soul, as one does not know what their own end will be, how often has a devoted believer turned away from God at death and how often has one that was not devoted to God, found true meaning at death. A lesson for us to consider.

So if one can't help themselves get into heaven, "Faith is not something that anyone deserves or has earned," and it's a foregone conclusion how a person will end up, god has seen our outcome, then a person may just as well enjoy life and go golfing on Sunday mornings.

But in light of "Faith is not something that anyone deserves or has earned," why does it matter?

I just watched it. Okay, there were a few parts that made me roll my eyes, but overall, it seemed like a lot of fun. Lots of talent, even though some of it was just hip gyrations. I knew there was a good reason I liked Shakira.

The key is we do not know our end. I see life is the reward and that is determined by our own thoughts and actions. That choice is only about doing the right thing, it is not a choice aimed at obtaining Heaven or preventing Hell.

In life, I see they are the results of our choices. So If I choose not to play golf or go fishing on the reef but instead either giving my time to others of the funds to children's education, then to me that is its own reward and is heaven in this world.

I was actually a professional golfer before I found the Baha'i Faith, while a Baha'i I also spent a lot of time fishing in boats I owned, but I have found life delivers no real satisfaction in those activities, peace of mind is now trying to find ways to help others.

But in light of "Faith is not something that anyone deserves or has earned," why does it matter?

I see that is a question we have to ask ourselves, in this way we find out who we really are and why we are here in this life!

My observation is that If Faith is the only way to the peace and security of all humanity, then yes the questions do need to be asked, and most importantly the actions of a world embracing faith do need to be pursued. Life becomes much bigger than our own finite selves.

And doing the right thing would be what? And why that in particular?

So how does religious faith work to be the only way to the peace and security of all humanity? Considering the lack of peace and security we all suffer under, just when is this faith cure-all supposed to kick in? I mean, countless millions have lived and died without seeing these benefits you speak of.

I personally have found that Baha'u'llah has given all those answers. As to how you choose to see and live life, is for you to decide.

All I can say is that the answers can be found and in my posts I try to reflect what I have found.

So how does religious faith work to be the only way to the peace and security of all humanity? Considering the lack of peace and security we all suffer under, just when is this faith cure-all supposed to kick in? I mean, countless millions have lived and died without seeing these benefits you speak of.

It works only by free will. Without free will the is no Good and there is no Bad. It kicks in when we decide to choose that path. The weird thing is we mostly wait until things can not get worse before we get together to make things better. This passage sprang to mind on this thought;

"...When the victory arriveth, every man shall profess himself as believer and shall hasten to the shelter of God’s Faith. Happy are they who in the days of world-encompassing trials have stood fast in the Cause and refused to swerve from its truth..." Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh. Bahá'í Reference Library - Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, Page 319

Free will to me is this passage;

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Thus in this material world Good and Evil exist because of our actions and perceptions about existence. Without free will we do not see the opposites of light an darkness and all the shade in between, we would be like the animal prone to instinct and self motivation, without the choice of a rational mind.

What I really want to know is this: will there ever come a time when we can be satisfied with doing what we do, enjoying what we enjoy -- without worrying about what anybody else is doing or enjoying?

Or is human life always going to be about our dissatisfaction with what everybody else is doing?

I see that satisfaction can only be found is in making sure all others can enjoy a level of existence that does not see a few with great wealth and peace in lfe, while others are in great poverty and no peace in life.

I see an age coming when no one will be able to find any rest, or peace of heart, until every human has the opportunity to live in peace with their basic needs met.

Then, Tony, I tell you that you have a while to wait. This can only happen when resources are infinite, and not limited -- when people stop hating each other for who they are, or for what they believe, or for who they love. And even your own religion won't yet deal with that last one, will it?

The division is one's own choice over Godliness.

A rebellious spirit is something of our own making. The Quran was given to show how one finds true liberty in submission to God. All Faiths have those teachings and if practiced, there is no better than another practiced.

Deeds have become our Faith.

That's just an excuse for being a Lazy God. Can't be bothered to muster up enough "god juice" to speak to *everyone* with *equal measure*, which would be actually fair.

Instead, does a very immoral move, and deliberately creates Special Favorites instead.

Worse: Knowing full well the results ahead of time, would be less than 0.00001% effective...!

That's kinda lame.

And? It's Victim Blaming too-- another moral fail.

How long we have to wait is now well out of our hands. I see God will not let man destroy this planet, nor themselves entirely. But what we will face will drastically change our frames of references, just as life already offers many, every day.

I do see from what I have read and understood to date, as to what the future will face, will shake the world and many will not make it through that time. What is to come may have been somewhat lessened, if we had found our unity in a more timely manner and put it into sciences. I see the coastal cities will not remain standing, and it will be these locations where a lot of life will be lost.

Grab your torches and pitchforks.

"The evangelical Christian hate group One Million Moms (Twitter count: 4,731), which never has a critical thing to say about Donald Trump, can’t believe two women danced onstage during halftime of the Super Bowl. Jennifer Lopez basically danced while wearing a “glitter maxi pad,” they claim.

They’re now calling for everyone to sign their petition in order to… well, nothing. There’s nothing to “petition.” It’s just a way to grow their mailing list. But a lack of motivation never stopped them from whining.

How are children supposed to learn about respect and dignity when this is what they see on the world’s biggest stage?

Latin rapper Bad Bunny briefly joined them on stage, but he wasn’t the biggest surprise of the evening. The halftime performance went from pole dancing to a chorus of children singing and dancing alongside Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, Emme. Children were shown in lit silhouette cages.

There were so many other music artists who could have performed and given a much cleaner and more appropriate performance. Many families watch the Super Bowl together, therefore, the halftime show should be family-friendly. Is it too much to ask for Super Bowl entertainment be suitable for fans of all ages?

These Christians are more upset at J-Lo for featuring kids in imaginary cages than they are at Republicans for putting kids in actual ones.

Anybody here see this lack of respect and dignity in the halftime show?
(The full show is on the video above.)

Are these the same Christian moms who seem to be okay with Trump grabbing women by their genitals?
