Less than Abbas (even if you include his first term in the late 90s). And apparently, democratically elected every time.
This time around, it's nearly 11 years now.

Yeah, I heard that last night. I'm actually a bit surprised because both the US and Israel have been working on strengthening their ties to Arab countries in recent years. I thought maybe a couple at least would be on board.

Oh grow up- countries mean people. You mean strengthening ties with the corrupt elites of relatively easily bought states. Get on board what exactly? The Jewish colonists in Palestine have been building new settlements in areas supposedly ear marked in the "Peace Plan" for a "Palestinian State", nothing in protest from the United States. Genociding the indigenous population has been a covert goal since the discovery of their attachment to their land, and increasingly it has been overt within Zionist circles.The point of the plan was to be such that even that snake Abbas wojuld reject it- though he still continues "security co-operation" with the colonial state. Abbas who tortures and murders for Jewish colonialism in order to get some crumbs from their table- and yet is demonized by the colonial power's propaganda structures outside of Palestine.
What do you think this Plan was meant to achieve if not justification for more "mowing the grass" (which how the colonists refer to the mass murder of the indigenous population)?

The indigenous Palestinians have seen a long history since 1988 of what leaders strengthening as you put it ties with the colonial project and the USA means- they were both Edward Said and Israel Shahak the two most intelligent people engaged publically in the situation at the time to reject the Oslo Process, and both predicted where it would lead..
The very existence of the indigenous people is an afront to the colonizers. You as an North American should know that given youyr own history and how your own indigenous population ended up.

They control a lot more- basically nearly everything that comes in and goes out. The whole point of withdrawing the settlements from there was to put it on a "diet"- those words or something very similar were actually used. They are being strangled.

Trump loves drama as I'm sure you know. Personally, I don't care what the name of the deal is.
Why are you assuming I'm a "North American"?
Tell that to most Arab countries, including the non-country PA. At this point in time, all that matters is getting the Arab leadership on board, they'll deal with civilian disagreements. It's very unfortunate, but that's how it is.

The so-called Palestinian so-called Authority brutally oppresses the indigenous population of the West Bank- and why does it do that? Because Zionism and American Imperialism want it to and it wants the franchise to impose Zionism on that part of the Palestinian nation but because of the nature of Zionism it cannot cope with hiring out it's rule in an anyway serious manner to a part of the indigenous population. Of course the Arab countries with democratic structures are not involved- yes that is how it is, Zionism will only ever be able to find support in the region among greedy tyrants,
How wonderful: sanctifying the occupation one Bantustan at a time. Why on earth should Palestinians be "on-board" with such a demeaning insult?
