I would caution against that broad of a generalization. I would wager that a lot of Evangelicals are not in agreement with these particular comments. And some Evangelicals are quite bright. Bright people can be convinced of very unreasonable things, often because of emotional manipulation frankly, and that doesn't make them unintelligent.

I based it on the concept that there is no such thing as satanic pregnancies and the she replied that she was speaking metaphorically. Seriously no one believes she was actually talking about a physical pregnancy but talking about ideas. The term "impregnation" goes beyond the physical concept and alludes to the "impregnation" of concepts.

Why am I having to explain this?
