Did Jesus Rebuked the OT God

Jesus was with 2 of his followers and some people were mocking Jesus. The 2 followers asked Jesus if they should pray and call down fire to devour them like the OT prophet. Jesus sharply rebuked the 2 and said they knew not what kind of Spirit they called upon.

So if Jesus was rebuking the two for wanting to do the same actions, is he not also rebuking the OT God who did the actions of devouring people? Is Jesus asking "you know not what kind of Spirit you call upon", not rebuking the OT God and telling us that this Spirit is not what we want or think it is?

Question: Does the heart and actions of Jesus appear the same or opposite of the OT God? And was part of the good news, if we listen, our true Parent is not the OT God?

Its a reasonable question.....here is how I would answer it...
"To James and his brother, Jesus gave the surname Boanerges, a Semitic term meaning “Sons of Thunder.” (Mark 3:17) This may have been because of the energetic, fiery, and enthusiastic nature of these men. On one occasion, for example, when certain Samaritans were inhospitable toward Jesus, James and John wanted to call down fire from heaven to annihilate them. Although reproved by Jesus for suggesting such revenge, this attitude was indicative of their righteous indignation and also of their faith. (Luke 9:51-55) They also entertained ambitions of having the most prominent positions in the Kingdom, at the right and left hands of Jesus, and they apparently got their mother (possibly Jesus’ aunt) to request such favors of him."

So analyzing the background of these two brothers, it is noteworthy that the apostles were not prophets, but Jesus was. If Jesus had called down fire from heaven, that would have been a different story, but that isn't what his mission was about. He said he had not come to judge the world but to save it. So the whole 'calling down fire' thing was going to wait for the time when such judgment was to be carried out. (2 Peter 3:7)

Bobby...….that's exactly what Christ (Jesus) did. He came to tell us that the OT God was a usurper, an imposter, not the True "Father". And that's WHY Jesus was murdered too.

Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Nope. Why did Elijah call down fire from heaven to kill the soldiers sent to get him? Because the soldiers sent from the king were apparently going to harm him. When the final band of soldiers came to Elijah; the angel that was with Elijah told him not to be afraid of that captain because they would not hurt him. So, we can assume the other bands were not going to be so nice.

Why didn't Jesus want fire called down? First, the people weren't doing them any harm. They just didn't want to receive Him. Besides, He knew that his disciples were imperfect people that were biased against Samaritans.

Finally, if you read in the book of Revelation the final two witnesses will be burning people with fire that try to harm them. This means that Jesus is the same God of the OT. God doesn't change and if He used fire once then be sure He can do it again.

The reason Jesus didn't call down fire while on earth was:
1. There was no need. No one could harm Him until His hour had come to bear the cross.
2. Because He came to reconcile sinners to God again not to judge them. However, there will come a time when He will judge the world.
