I heard Mick at 76 got well out of the hospital and started dancing! Yea I know, he's got a bad reputation got being sex addict, or a jerk whatever you want to call it, really don't care I love my bad boy Mick Jagger ! He's on my list of my favorite bad boys! Live The STones and they're sexy music!

I watched a bio on Mckennze Phillips , where she said, when she turned 18, her Dad was making a sandwich for her and Mick, went out to get mayo. Mick told her hed been waiting to be alone with her when she turned 18 sense she was 10! YIKES! I still love MICK! Got to love those bad boys!

Here's my favorite Stones song

Let's Spend The Night Together

Beast pf Burden
Miss You
Little T And A
ANgie
Wild Horses
SHe's In A RAinbow
Not Fade Away
Under My THumb
Paint It Black

I first saw the Stones in 1963(before they became famous). They were playing in a club in Belsize Park(for those that know London) which was tucked behind the local tube station.
I remember Mick was wearing a dress, they had long hair and looked unwashed.
They were great and still are.

I had a rather unexpected sighting of Mick - the Stones must have been well-known by then for me to have recognised him - when he turned up at the Marquee (1963/64?) and did a number with the Yardbirds, much to the pleasure of the audience. I had been going regularly to see the group for about a year I think. The Stones were hardly my favourite group but they did some great stuff.

Did you ever go to The Temple(Wardour St) not far from The Marquee. It was underneath the Whisky-a-go-go. Lots of groups started there(eg Thin Lizzy).

Unfortunately no - possibly later? - the 100 club and a venue in Chelsea (Six Bells?) I remember - with Alexis Korner and Blues Incorporated. I saw quite a bit of Long John Baldry and Cyril Davies' All Stars, including of course Rod Stewart (great singer obvious even then). I did seem to spread my interests - being a member of Ronnie Scotts for a bit - nice seeing the Polish MJQ at such along with many others. But all the Blues artists that came to the Marquee, such as Sonny Boy Williamson, I do remember. I left London in late 1964 so missed out on much - particularly on the changes at the Marquee.

I did once venture into the 2i's once - can't remember who was playing though. :D And I have this album:

Even though I wasn't much of a Stones fan, their song "Let's Spend the Night Together" brings back the rather fond memory of an old girlfriend of mine that I dearly loved whispering while the song was on that this is what she wanted to do with me. That totally shocked me as she was a very devout Catholic and simply the single nicest person I had ever had the pleasure of knowing.

BTW, we didn't do that as I was not willing to take advantage of her, and I ended up marrying another woman whereas we'll have been married for 53 years this upcoming March.

It is undeniable that these guys earned their place as legendary rock stars, and had tremendous influence on music in general.

Nevertheless, I think they are incredibly overrated. As in: their technical skills and musicianship isn't up to par with their gigantic success. To me, they are the Metallica of the 60s and 70s.

I love Ginger Baker's version of how that band got together :)

In a nutshell, Baker was jamming at some dark smokey club in London and putting a band together. Watson was the "previous" drummer. Baker played circles around him and considered Watson to be sh*t. The bass player or guitarist (don't remember) of the stones also played some tunes and Baker thought he was sh*t also.

Then they were looking for vocals and Mick came around. Baker thought the dude couldn't sing and looked like a girl. He threw some insults around and then told him "I know some other musicians that are just as sh*t as you, maybe you should play with them", while referring to Watson and the others.

So Baker felt like he should get credit for putting the Stones together, lol.

Off course, like many of Baker's stories, it should be taken with a few bags of salt :)

Yes, it's quite interesting how it's pretty hard to find legendary artists, who singlehandedly changed an entire genre or scene, who also wasn't drugged up more then sober.

Well, I do not agree that Mick was more drugged up then sober. I saw a bio on Mick that said although he did his share of drugs and got high, he did not get addicted to them and took less some of the other members.

I mean the guy is 76 years old and he still rocks! How many groups can you say in their 70s are still touring! Got to stick up for The STones they are awesome!

I did not know how well the STones knew The Beatles till I saw another short Bio on youtube not long ago. The Beatles and The Stones played at the same places and hung out at the same clubs from the very beginning, I think that's what I heard.

But Linda Mccartney was lovers or short time sex partners or girlfriend, I do not know the exacts someone else can correct me here, whatever, with Jaggar before she fell for Paul so I guess it should not surprise me how well The Stones Knew The Beatles.

FYI on Micks looks when he was younger he looked great! Yea he's always been a bit of a girlie looking man but some men look good like that.
He does not come off as feminine though he does have the girlie look. He also has sexy moves, too his voice his dancing and his music and performances sexy..................I think he was a sexy guy, not now that he's 76 lol well he's still got the moves though still want to see him. He's always sexy. But he was cute when he was younger ! It depends on your interpretation of feminine.............

To me he's masculine enough but does have a bit of a look kind of like David I forget his last name who played Keith partridge Partridge he was the same way looks but girlish and like a guy, but a lot of women are attracted to that...........( I must be getting old)

Almost that entire scence was drugged up on acid, alcohol and weed during the 60s... Stones included.

I think my fave Stones tunes are:
Paint it Black
Gimme Shelter
She's a Rainbow
Angie
Sympathy for the Devil

I also really liked Jagger in the film Performance. That was cool!
