Universal Consciousness

I disagree. The vast majority of the universe is non-conscious. Consciousness, as far as we can tell only exists in one vanishingly small part of the universe. To say that the whole is conscious because of one small part seems, well, unusual.

I still can't get my head around the microbes consciousness being part of the hosts consciousness
(This assumes the microbe is conscious )

You have a brain. Why is it not conscious of all these things inside? Let alone outside? What is the scientist seeking things it

Um, because it is limited by the senses?

definitely doesn't mean the universe is unconscious
I'm more inclined to say it is non-conscious: it doesn't have the capacity to be conscious.

halbhh

The wonder and awe of "all things".
The universe has some minimal consciousness through us. I wouldn't call it universal, though, since it seems to be limited to one small planet orbiting one small star.
Well, we don't know all that is out there, but for advanced life like ours (which requires at least a vast stretch of time with stable excellent conditions for life to advance to this point) this uniqueness of us here is a possibility, yes....

But that wouldn't tell us about...the other possibilities, such as a more advanced consciousness, aka "God". For that, I'd go to the great teacher, the Christ, to learn more, of course.

Try to show how the self is still part of the universe, even is the personality is unawares of it

Huh? I don't understand what you are trying to say here. The 'self' is part of the universe. It is a brain process. I'm don't know what 'personality' you are talking baout here that is unaware of the 'self' (and how do 'self' and 'personality' differ?)

I am energy yes. Thank you for the dialogue. I must break here. The best to you.

OK, I disagree. Energy is a very specific thing, physically. The 'self' is more like a running computer program on the substrate of the brain. Not the same type of things at all.

The two can't be separated, they are interdependent and only dualistic thinking would continue to hold such a viewpoint

Do you think the Universe is deluded and beset with ego-related problems ?

Only dualistic thinking would assume otherwise.

I have my doubts that the physical Universe itself has Consciousness, but there is something that pervades all things, omnipresent, it just is not "conscious," imo.
The Fundamental Forces. The magic chemistry between Space/Time/Energy.

The spoiler. Topic hijacked.
