Are CNN's Knifes Out For Bernie?

I do not support Bernie but I despise CNN, and it appears that CNN is out to destroy him.
CNN's Debate Performance Was Villainous and Shameful
It's a way of making the primaries about personal drama,
which is really what drives Democrats' politics. It matters
more than issues. Also, they want established political
figures to win, not interlopers who are merely popular
with voters, eg, Bernie.
Rolling Stone gets their goals entirely wrong....not understanding
that this is what the party wants. It's not much about issues like
war, assassinations, economy, health care, etc.
Those are merely topics to use against their Republican foe.

CNN is Establishment Central. They're interested in maintenance of the status quo of our political and economic system, punctuated by peripheral sensationalism. So yea, Bernie's an obvious threat to that.

The debate moderation sucked. I don't know why 2 of the 3 mods were nobodies who I've never seen moderate before. Where were Andrea Mitchell, Dana Bash, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper? They used pre-written follow-up questions that didn't match what candidates' actual answers were.

Yes, some will "despise" CNN because it doesn't comply with Fox's propaganda.

Personally, I don't trust any channel or written source, which is why I always "surf the net" to check on events as well as channel hopping. Yes, I even tune in occasionally to the Fox Propaganda Channel that is far more willing to defend Trump and his alliance with former KGB head Vladimir Putin than with our own 17 intelligence agencies, with some of them being military sources. We used to call people like that "traitors", but it appears that the Pubs defending Trump don't want to use that terminology on themselves. Frankly, I don't use the term nowadays-- but it's truly tempting at times, I'll admit.

BTW, I wonder if Putin has any leftover Soviet uniforms for some of the Trump/Putin supporters to wear?

So, the word has gone out to everyone at CNN, destroy Bernie. All march in lockstep to follow the command.

Projection of Trump's demand to Congress. March in lockstep with me or you'll be primaried.

What CNN did was stupid and a big mistake. I don't project from that they're all of an ideological mind.

The aphorism Hanlon's razor could apply here Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

"I think you called me a liar on national TV," Warren can be heard saying.
"What?" Sanders responded.
"I think you called me a liar on national TV," she repeated...

...
On Monday,
Warren said Sanders told her during a private 2018 meeting that a woman could not win the presidency. In a CNN story published earlier that day, four sources had said Sanders had told Warren in the meeting a woman couldn't win.
Sanders has repeatedly denied making the comment while Warren has held firm in saying that he did -- and that she disagreed with his assessment.
Warren accused Sanders in tense post-debate exchange of calling her a 'liar' on national TV - CNNPolitics

Who do you think is lying?
I suspect Warren is telling the truth, Sanders sees it as being pragmatic.

Not a fan of CNN nor Warren but can't blame CNN for taking Warren's side on this.

I hope so. Bernie is a recipe for disaster for this country.
I agree.

While I support his platform, mostly, I don't think he has the clout to accomplish much. So, while Sanders is tilting at windmills the elite will ramp up the looting of the USA.
That is a recipe for disaster. That's why I supported Clinton. She was a hardened old battle axe better able to accomplish Sanders' agenda than Sanders.

If the left wins (god forbid :Op) I hope it's Warren instead of Sanders. I don't think she is much better, but at least with her, we might still have a country left when her term is up.

Maybe.......

I'm actually quite surprised at some of the articles coming out of CNN.

I still consider it as a leftist rag but they have moved the needle just a little bit.

Just what are they up to?

How so? Why would conglomerates support socialists (by the actual definition, not the dopey bumpkin U.S. conservative usage of the term)? As others have pointed out, they prefer candidates that maintain the status quo, like Biden.

I'm still up in the air, but I have to say that Biden is my least favored by far.

Yeah, I'm kinda with you.

But given the low bar currently be set by the Democratic party, that isn't saying much. There are Republicans I would vote for before any of the current crop of Dems. But if Trump is the best the TeaParty Republicans can do, I'd vote for a chimpanzee.

Biden just comes off as an addled and out of touch milquetoast.

I would expect for the moderators to be neutral during the debates. However according to this it appears they are not:

Exchange between moderator and Bernie
“CNN reported yesterday — and Senator Sanders, Senator Warren confirmed in a statement — that, in 2018, you told her you did not believe that a woman could win the election. Why did you say that?”

Not “did you say that,” but “why did you say that?”

Sanders denied it, then listed the many reasons the story makes no sense: He urged Warren herself to run in 2016, campaigned for a female candidate who won the popular vote by 3 million votes, and has been saying the opposite in public for decades. “There’s a video of me 30 years ago talking about how a woman could become president of the United States,” he said.

Phillip asked him to clarify: He never said it? “That is correct,” Sanders said. Phillip turned to Warren and deadpanned: “Senator Warren, what did you think when Senator Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?”
