You should hate Saudi Arabia, and all the other Islamic dictatorships, if you're an actual American.

And yeah, they're all dictatorships. Democratic dictatorships.

40,000 American live and work in Arabia.. Some are 3rd generation. I enjoyed living there and admire the Saudi people and their leadership.

What is your experience of Saudi Arabia?

Sounds like you are back into your KSA defense mode.

Let's not pretend as if the royal sauds don't sit on a pile of petro-cash, which they weild around for the purpose of having and holding on to iron fist power.

Mostly used in developing healthcare, education, clean water, infrastructure and economic diversification.

All 40,000 can just stay there as far as I'm concerned. For good.

Nevertheless, I certainly agree that Israel seriously misbehaves and is guilty of all sorts of reprehensible crimes.

On the other hand, I get how this is a problem for Palestinians and their development.
But the thing is, in just about any discussion about any islamic country in the middle east, at some point you'll get the "but israel..." defense.
That is something I don't get at all.

I don't see how political elites in countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia trampling on the human rights of their own citizens, can be blamed on whatever Israel is doing 3000 miles away.
Yet sooner or later, Israel or the US or "the west" in general will be pulled into the conversation for no apparant reason.

They wouldnt give a darn about the occupation except for
it is them awful jews doing it.

Actually that's true.. All their traditions are about equality, modesty, good manners, hospitality etc.

Maybe we are having a prob with the word "all".

For lo, if such were the case, the area would not
be the hotbed / source of most of the violence and
instability in the world.

And "equality"? For women or them unbelievers?
I dont think so.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Why are the western states staring at the oil and natural gas of the Middle East?
Isn't colonialism obvious theft?
Muslims in vain clash with each other, thieves continue to steal!
Shouldn't they be unity against thieves?
If the western states were there to steal don't you think it would be much easier just to outright take what's there and colonize the land?

Not all Arab countries are alike.. I am speaking of KSA and the Gulf States.

They are VERY civil towards women and unbelievers.

Why are there all the time, according to you?!

Who knows if you read what I said or understood it.
But, again, you guys keep your oil.
Dont sell any. Send all foreign workers home.
See how that turns out for you.

Foreign workers are there because
you guys dont know want to work, and do
not know how.

That's not really true. ARAMCO is the largest and most successful oil company in the world and it is fully integrated from Shaybah to Manifa to Ghawar.

The Saudis have accomplished a great deal since the concession agreement ended and they nationalized the company.

Uhh... lets make that "not ENTIRELY true."

The collapse of the economies in the opec states
would be swift if they kept their oil, or "just"
expelled all foreign workers. As you know.

Depends on which OPEC state you are talking about.
