I carry an organ donor card with the number 66919 for forty years now. My sister lives with a donated kidney.

In Italy biological testament is compulsory. That is, you have to declare whether you want to donate your organs or not to the anagraphical office.
I wrote yes.

I've got an organ donor card but I decided not to fill it in so someone else can use it after I'm dead. ;)

Check my driver's license. There may not be that much use left in them.. Though when I first put that on my license there was. At this point when I go my organs will probably go with me.

I was an organ donor. Now I'm not. The docs wouldn't take mine; I would be doing a grave disservice to whoever got them, and yes, that was a pun.

Would you agree to donate your organs? The German parliament debated and rejected the opt-out solution today.

German parliament rejects proposal for opt-out organ donation system

In 2018, there were 932 organ donors in Germany, ca. 9,500 patients waiting for organs and a total population of 82.79 million.

I suppose we are still dealing with religious sensibilities. My ID is marked Donor. Don't know if they get much use from my parts though, well past the extended warranty date. :)

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm dying with mine due to health reasons.

Type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease might not help the recipient and I'm also aged.

My biological history is unknown, so I'd rather not risk any complications that could arise.
