Pelosi to hand over impeachment

Kangaroo Feathers

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Nothing will come of it. Dems should be focusing on nominating an electable candidate for the election if they want to oust trump. The impeachment is little more than a distraction

The right did not think so when they went after Bill Clinton.

Clinton's impeachment was CONSIDERABLY more bipartisan than Trump's has been. Yes, it was overwhelmingly Republican, BUT unlike with Trump, there was some disagreement. Five democrats voted 'yeah' on the first article, and 28 Republicans voted 'nay. On the second article, five democrats voted 'yea' and 12 Republicans voted 'nay.' The house investigation was considerably more fairly run for Clinton, as well.

For Trump...not a single Democrat voted 'nay,' and not a single republican voted 'yea.' THAT, sun rise, is an absolutely partisan division.

Now as to the trial, conviction required 67 votes...

and on Article one, not a single Dem voted 'guilty,' but ten Republicans voted not guilty.
On Article two, 45 Dems voted not guilty, and five republicans also voted not guilty.

Yes, that was a partisan vote, as well; Clinton WAS guilty of lying to congress. He admitted it, and was disbarred and fined for it. He simply didn't lose his job as POTUS.

So...if you think that 'the right didn't think so" then you might want to consider exactly what Clinton DID....and confessed to doing.

Trump's impeachment was purely partisan and political. His Senate trial will be, as well....as Pelosi knows FULL well. That's why she held on to the articles of impeachment for so long. She's trying to get as much political mileage as she can out of it, and it's going to backfire on her.

NO Republican is going to vote 'guilty'. Maybe a Democrat or two will vote 'not guilty,' if s/he has an ounce of self respect....or if s/he wants to be re-elected and actually pays attention to his/her constituents.

This whole thing has been an exercise in 'we have to get Trump by any means necessary,' and y'all have gone too far. I predict that the Republicans will get the House back, and that the Dems will be even further behind in the Senate. I predict that Trump WILL have a second term.

..............and the dems will try their hardest to find a way to impeach him again, in spite of that.

It is amazing. If Dump cried out to his worshipers, that soiled diapers tasted yummy? His entire base would go out and eat them, and Fox News would wax lyrical how yummy baby's soiled nappies really are.

He was right: He could literally shoot someone, on TV, and his base would still vote for him.

The World KNOWS Dump is deeply in bed with literal terrorists (Putin) ... but the GOP does not care in the least... so long as the check doesn't bounce...

Aah, but progressivism is without goals. It flows where the wind blows it.

Naaah.... progressives are against slavery--which conservatives fought to keep legal.

Progressives are for 40 hour work weeks, which conservatives fought to keep unpaid overtime.

Progressives are for paid vacation, which conservatives claimed would ruin businesses.

Progressives were against child labor, which conservatives claimed would ruin mining.

Progressives were for workplace safety laws, which conservatives claimed would halt production, and besides, if you can't fire injured workers, who's going to hire those waiting in the wings?

Progressives were for paid breaks, conservatives claimed that would hurt productivity.

Progressives were for Social Security, conservatives believed than anyone who was too poor to have saved for retirement, did not deserve retirement anyway-- and should work until they died, preferably on the assembly line, right at quitting time.

Progressives were for paying women equal to men, but conservatives complained that they were too emotional, and would just quit to have babies, and really, shouldn't they be home, having even more babies anyway?

I could go on and on and on, here...

NONE of those are "goals".

Bill had impeachable offenses (and they had nothing to do with a 19 yo intern).
As does #45 and MANY MANY more than Bill Clinton. The ones he was impeached for was just the tip of a gigantic iceberg.

This is pure partisan garbage. With the hostility with the impeachment mad Democrat congress, any hint of a charge would have been exploited to the hilt.

Wow.... apparently this is a Brand New meaning of the word "goal" which I have never encountered before!

In fact, it appears in this instance the meaning has been 100% reversed from it's typical use.

Must be a conservative thing...

Absolutely no proof and no charges. Call back when you quit hating....

Dump admitted it on actual TV footage! He committed treason, not once but multiple times!

He literally requested an Enemy Power (Russia) interfere with the US elections! In a SPEECH! AND THEY DID!

Wow... stick your head even deeper into that quicksand.

LOL! Yes-- 100% of your continued support for a Treasonous Traitor to the US is absolutely partisan garbage....... you literally continue to support an admitted Rapist too! Of 13 year old children, even...

Does your depravity have no limit?

Some here conveniently forget the results of Mueller's Report (Article 2) whereas he concluded that Trump could possibly be charged with 10+ counts of "obstruction of justice" once out of office.
