UK top trade partners (exports) in 2018:

EU £291bn
United States £50.4bn
China £21.4bn
Turkey £10.6bn
Hong Kong £7.9bn
UAE £7.8bn
Japan £6.5bn
South Korea £6bn
Canada £5.6bn
Singapore £5.2bn
India £5bn
Australia £4.5bn

We'd better get cracking on those trade deals - what was it "Easiest deal in history, do it before lunch"

Courtesy of James O'Brien ...

What did you order?
£350 million a week for the NHS; loads of superior trade deals; all the benefits of EU membership with none of the responsibility; two unicorns and a shiny new passport.

What did you get
Ummm... a border in the Irish Sea and a £500,000 crowdfunder for some bongs

Does anyone still listen to James O’Brien?

If they do, their mental wellbeing would be much improved if they listened Nigel Farage or even Nick Ferrari instead.

I only asked a question then stated the obvious.

The James O’Brien Show should carry a health warning.

He is the most depressing person on the radio.
I don't listen to him, I do catch an occasional YouTube video but he is the sense of reason on most things. He deals on facts not 'feelings'

Talking of facts, have you seen this...

Brexit will have soon cost the UK more than all its payments to the EU over the past 47 years put together

I thought we were going to be better off, don't remember that on a bus???

If we had no Remoaners, what a wonderful world this would be.

They have been a severe drag on the UK economy.

Everyone's fault but those who wanted to leave without a plan, or fully understanding the consequences.
Pathetic
Never mind the fact that this exact issue was what us "remoaners" had been saying long before the referendum, it's STILL somehow our fault.

LEAVERS: We wanna leave Europe!

REMAINERS: Why?

LEAVERS: Because it costs us lots of money!

REMAINERS: Actually, it doesn't, and the total cost of leaving added to total losses to the UK economy due to a loss of EU trade will likely cost us more.

LEAVERS: You don't know what you're talking about. You're just being negative and scare-mongering. We've had enough of experts. We're voting leave!

*Referendum happens, three years later it's already cost more than 47 years of EU membership*

LEAVERS: This is all YOUR fault!!

The lack of self-awareness here is staggering.

We have had three and a half years of the Remoaners dragging the UK down.

Now they don’t want the Leavers to celebrate our victory.

The trouble is, if those figures are correct, and they appear to be. It is the Leavers who are dragging the country down.
I think to be honest, the leaders of the leave campaign are starting to realise this and are trying to change the dialogue - lowering expectations, blaming the EU, blaming Remainers, blaming anyone but themselves.

I assume this rubbish about Church Bells ringing when we crash out is all a distraction.
Ring the sodding bells, just don't wake me up. Mind you the nearest church is a good distance away now, they are closing fast around us.

This is what it has come down to ....

First it was blue passports, now it is bongs.

Ignore the recession, higher prices, lower standards, restricted travel

Well, at least they get something out of it, I suppose.

After the 31st, we'll probably all need a bong.

I bring good news. Nigel has been given permission for his Brexit party in Parliament Square.

They are installing some massive speakers as a backup to Big Ben.

Is this the same Nigel that said Johnson's deal wasn't real Brexit? If so, why is he celebrating?

Because of the actions of the Remoaners, the nation has had to put our trust in Boris.

So far, I am not dismayed and distressed over Brexit.

I hope you are not one of those crying in their beds.

It seems to me that economics may be a reason the UK has been dragging its feet about leaving the EU...
but I don't think economics has that much to do with why people want Brexit.

My understanding is that there is a long-standing geographical, historical, and cultural divide between the UK and mainland Europe. The EU is not simply an economic alliance, but rather exerts control and influence in other areas and this is the reason people in the UK want Brexit.
