Greetings Everyone.

I wanted to start my journey through these discussion forums by saying I wish to be 100% sincere, non sarcastic/****posty and honest about what I think without disrespecting anyone. I wish to mainly focus my posts on the discussion and debate of Reconstructed Pagan religions but Im open to anything else.

Im a 20 year old guy from Brazil who never quite adjusted himself with the mores and cultural behaviors of my "countrymen", in fact me and my whole father's family had a distinct integrity which I would rarely see among anyone else. I always felt like a "stranger in my own country" but never quite understood why.

Until the time I started to hear about my fathers family lineage which dated back to a noble family of Portugal, which, when researching about it, was also said by its contemporaries to be one of extremely honorable and fair people. After that moment, everything started making some sense to me. I guess a man's psyche and his genetics are something hard to unbound.

After some time I started to delve more and more into european culture, which led me to eventually take interest in Recon Pagan religions. I sincerely believe that one can be proud of its cultural roots without hating anyone else, which is why I find the Ultra Racist x Ultra New Age polarization quite stupid.

Well, I guess thats everything for now. I hope I gain more knowledge and have my good share of fun while here !!1

Welcome to RF, HeatyHeathen. Being a pagan, I understand the pain of Europe loosing its heritage. One will feel like an orphan. Thankfully, our native religion is hale and hearty, and has lost none of its enthusiasm.

Yes. Even possible liking people with other cultural roots. Even possible to not see other (non) faith as inferior.

I like the rainbow story. People see different colours, but they all belong to light. Focus on the light solves many fights

Welcome, Heathen.

I think I can see why you have problems adjusting to Brazilian mores. It does stem from your heritage, but not from any Portuguese lineage.
I think if you researched your geneology carefully you'd find you and your family are, in fact, arctic foxes.

It's no wonder you don't fit in well in a tropical country.
