So the subject's guess at the world suicide rate as a whole is a litmus test of some or other aspect of the subject's psychology?What people think those numbers are.
In polls like this you often get opinions that aren't based on any facts but they give a look into the mindset of the people. From the answers to this poll I conclude that the polled value facts and aren't afraid to admit their ignorance (something rare in the general population) - though they lack reading comprehension.
What, I wonder, is the question that this information will answer? That the subject is depressed? Deluded? Not good at figures? Impulsive at making things up? Lazy? Indifferent?
That the aggregated result will tell us that the subject's nation as a populace is one or more of those things? Doesn't know from beans?
