Archaeologists Rome excavation

Jesus had to have touched it. It's 2000 years old. It was in Jerusalem. Jesus was there then. Jesus touched everything in Jerusalem, at least once (he was a little OCD). If I touch it, I'll be saved. :)

Archaeologists are in the city of David Rome where there use to be MArkets.

They found this measuring table used in the market 2000 years ago the time of Jesus. Note they have not found any proof Jesus lived, they are excavating sights that were alive in Jesus' time. You should expect some sort of remnant or writings of Jesus if they continue excavation.

Archaeologists discover 2,000-year-old measuring table in Jerusalem
For Christians , that's proof Jesus lived for them.

This not a meaningful archaeological discovery. Similar discoveries are founf through out history around the world. It would not have even made the news if it was not the fact that it was dated to ~2000 years ago in the Home town of Jesus. If it is ~2000 years old it is a little late for Jesus.

Well that's interesting. Why are we so fascinated by it? I keep expecting something of Jesus to be found and Christians jumping and shouting about it.

Jesus and his disciples were persecuted and hated by the rulers. It is probable that every remnant of them would have been destroyed, if found. That is why think it will be extremely difficult to find anything. And if they find something, I would be cautious. Also, I think those who are digging can also be anti-Christian and destroy any evidence of Jesus, if they find.

You need to edit your OP. The city of David is Jerusalem, not Rome. The article your cite speaks about Jerusalem.

Oh please. Jesus and his follows were a tiny little "follow the messiah" group just like other messiah groups. IOW they were nobodies. No evidence survived because it wasn't worth keeping.

Or be out to making money. About a month ago I heard a lecture by an archeologist who's part of the Israeli team that fights against archeology thieves and forgers. He showed us a picture of an old stone casket that was inscribed with the Hebrew name of someone from the NT (don't remember who). It was an exciting find at the time, but eventually they realized that the person who had sold them the casket (or tried to, I don't remember exactly) had taken a real ancient casket and either added part of the name or all of it.

Very bizzaro paranoia. This is not how history and archaeology work.

You have evidence for these claims, of course?

Or was it Capernaum?
I was there in 1983 and saw his house. Family pictures on the piano, his baseball mitt in the bedroom, a collection of Rabbi Cards, with a different Rabbi featured on each one, plus the Rabbis’ stats on the backs, and Mary’s stockings hanging on the shower rod.
