Not all Republicans are in lockstep with the President. Interesting article, especially the videos.

You only posted the video.

I differentiate between the Trump party which worships Trump and the Republican party which puts ideas and ideals on the table and is not a cult of personality.

That's true, but they voted for him, anyway, because they are republicans. Which means they believe that greed is a virtue, and that society and the world is an "every-man-for-himself", "only the fittest survive", "might makes right" proposition. And these are the ideals of disunity, of a moral wasteland of endless strife and competition, and of much human suffering. They voted for Trump even though they don't support him because they are selfish, and they believe that being selfish is the way to be. They were just 'lookin' out for #1' and Trump is the mascot for lookin' out for #1.

I'm with the Trump party, and not the Republican party.

There are very few real Republicans left. And almost none in D.C.
Truly a loss for our country and democracy as a way of life.
I'm with the Trump party, and not the Republican party.
Pathetic and weak. One might as well be a “ditto head” for Rush Limbaugh.
Use your own brain. Grow a spine. Make decisions in the ballot box and in our politics that will have long-term benefit for our once great nation.
Don’t be such a weak lemming and cult follower zealot.

In regards to economic issues, how can it be reclaiming the Right when just about all parties prior to the Reaganized Republicans and post-Tea Partiers have been much closer to the center and supported more spending programs?

You must be confusing Paleoconservativism with people like Ron and Rand Paul.

...The Paul's are not paleocons.

Spending is not a major issue in Paleoconservativism. What we want is less focus on globalization / Capitalism, and more focus on Americans. We want tougher immigration standards and America first in every way, including tariffs.

I'm asking how it can be reclaiming the Right when the American Right is going into new territory, much further Right than it ever has been before.

You should educate yourself on what Paleocomservativism is, and from where it came.

"Pat Buchanan calls Neoconservatism "a globalist, interventionist, open borders ideology". The Paleoconservatives argue that the "Neocons" are illegitimate interlopers in the Conservative movement."

Good idea. No globalization. No tariffs. No trade. Only American made cars made with American made steel. No oil imports. No imports. America first and America only!

Why stop there? Why not Texas for Texicans, only. God knows they think they're the center of all things righteous and holy, now, so I'm sure they'd be very happy as a country unto themselves. Or California? It's nearly the size of a major country. Or maybe we could all be divided up according to ideology, and sent to our respective designated ideological regions. Or we could do like when the Soviet Union finally fell apart, and let every other neighborhood decide to become it's own country!

Reductio ad absurdum.

Also, you're confusing the Tea Party movement with Paleoconservativism, @PureX... Two different things.

...And @ecco, Paleocons want more exports and more tariffs.
