Trump "Worthy of Full Appreciation" of Israel Says Netanyahu

his replacements are standing in line.

Unfortunately yes, but in this life where some live to turn this potential heaven into hell with no regard to the pain and suffering they cause to others it's nice to see a little justice every once in a while no matter where it comes from.

I feel quite the same way about Trump.

I find those who facilitate genocide, rape, and torture repugnant, all things soleimani did in Syria.

I wonder what everyone's stance on our involvement in Syria was,? Maybe I should dig up and link some of those old threads here and compare the responses then and now.

You might include the ones about T Rump allowing the Turks to rape the Kurds, our only reliable ally in Syria, and allow Russia to have unprecedented control they never believed possible.

We can't really pat ourselves on the back as champions of justice while we're allies and enablers of other nations who're guilty of the same or similar.

One crook supporting another crook, and both agreeing to sell American servicemembers down the river. What a heartwarming example of brotherhood.

When you live with apes it's hard to stay clean, in other words we have to work with what we have and if a strategic alliance with less than savoury characters is seen to work better for our interests in the long run then there we are unless we want to invade and overthrow every government we view as unjust. In the case of Soleimani he was directly responsible for the actions of his militias in Syria up to and including genocide. Though genocide was not the reason for his drone therapy session I'll take one less monster in the world and it's not like they hadn't been planning this for years.

I served for a number of years in various combat arms units by choice, though war and conflict is never something anyone looks forward to it is a possibility of the chosen profession. Most if not all soldiers accept this reality, if they can't then they are in the wrong place.

Reminds me of the old quote , I don't remember who and may have it partially wrong.
" a soldier above all prays most for peace for they will bear the most scars of war"

Exactly. The Trump-Netanyahu bromance tells you everything that you need to know about these two men and the moral quagmire confronting their two countries -- countries for which I have a deep affinity.

If that's how it's gotta be then we should at least drop the goodie-goodie facade. We can't present morality as a valid justification if we're not consistent about it.
