When you say lack of truth, you mean that since I know my wisdom does not see the full truth of the teaching?
"Truth" connotes something static.
You allow for change, which is more in line with "understanding".

Pew Research Center does research on this. They find that American Christian church affiliation is in steady decline, but also note that about 75% of Americans believe in God and that what counts as "religious" is hard to define. You can explore further here: www.pewresearch.org

Less religion and more spiritual. Many religions are outdated and hateful and nobody wants that.
I think in the US we are seeing a decrease in things that are traditionally thought of as religion, such as Christianity, and at the same time, we are seeing a dramatic increase in unconventional forms of religious expression -- such as Donald Trump's followers, who are behaving exactly like a religious cult.

America is becoming less religious. As a consequence those who remain religious are getting far more vocal as they see their control over society diminish, often giving the impression that America is getting more religious.
Religion is fading around most of the world, the only exception being Africa.
Why? I guess a growing willingness to question old beliefs and the ease of gathering information from the internet
You know, I'm not certain that I'm seeing the "more moral" argument. Certainly when I look at politics today, especially in the U.S., in Britain and other places.
To a large degree, I also truly feel that many people (in politics) who express religious beliefs don't actually hold them. I offer up Mitch McConnell as one example: the man who swore an oath "before God" to uphold the Constitution, and who will shortly swear an oath to "fairly" try the articles of impeachment against the President -- and who has publicly stated that he will do no such thing. This is, in very real fact, denying your "oath before God." Who can really argue that this shows a true, gut belief? Not I!

Clearly it is a two steps forward one step back situation. But if one looks at the big picture there has been constant improvement. Is there still racism and homophobia? Of course. But compare it to sixty years ago. Or even twenty. There will be something backlash to improvements, but progress still occurs.

It's just that since 2015, people have been shifting from the seven heads, the seven kings, on the composite beast, to the 8th king. Which I see as Lucifer's theocratic government. I know, you don't believe in the Devil.
Proskuneo, (worship), means also to submit to or to obey. While the whole world, or the majority of it, wanders after the composite beast, they, by default, worship the Devil . To it he has given his power and his throne and his great authority.

Why would we want to be on the news? That is of no use for clarifying the truth. Because 99% of the media is bought and used to spread propaganda to the mundane community.

Outwardly it seems less as the non-religious are now free to be more vocal about their views. For centuries often being an atheist openly made one a pariah. However I would point out that politics is filling a religious void for many.
