Seven charts that show the world is actually becoming a better place

I don't actually see any way to measure spirituality,
so my correlation was merely mischief.

Is there any age when we didn't obsess over something non-spiritual?
If it weren't wealth, it would've been survival or conquest.
I can only speak from my own experience to your question, so again, others may see it differently.
Children under 6 years old are maybe the most spiritually open humans, then when we start to learn about mundane life from schools, work and friends the spiritual interest and understanding get less the older we become, if we do not seek it on purpose as many religious people do, that said, one does not need to be religious to be spiritual :)

Measuring spirituality is difficult.
Defining it seems so too.

That is because the spiritual experience is very personal, yes it is difficult to share with others who can not see or understand the same. or maybe they see and understand deeper wisdom, so they see we are wrong too :) i experienced that a few times, when i met someone who had more wisdom in spirituality then i did

What is good in the world is reduced hunger, infant mortality, and illiteracy. These are all declining. Aren't these the goals of most religions? Seems like the world is making real progress in these areas.
It is very good that people work to help others, of course it is :) But we must also be aware that the suffering we human beings are experiencing, does come from our own past, so what we suffer today is a result of something we did wrong in the past (may even be from past lifetimes) (i know few believe in past life)

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Its all how you spin it.

Higher Life expectancy mean's more overpopulation, more greenhouse gases, less food and an overall less satisfying life.
Child mortality continues to fall because less children are being born causing a elderly class with no one to support them.
Fertility rates are falling see above.
GDP growth has accelerated in developed countries at the expensive of less developed countries and more developed countries also at the expensive of the environment.
Global income inequality has go down in poor countries yet is at it highest in rich countries
Democracy has nothing to do with the world be better. Government and people need to support world growth and more governments are isolating.
Conflicts are on decline, Physical only the new world order takes advantage of technology and psychological warfare.
Too bad more people don't take note of things like that.
