I have heard that some Jews also the the Prophets in the Old Testament. Is that true, and if so, why and what do they think about them?

The Prophets are part of Hebrew scripture. They are a collection of writings, and what a Jew might think about any particular text will vary. Do you have a more specific question?

I guess I want to know aside from the Torah, do they believe the Prophets are inspired Word of God?

The Hebrew written bible includes the 5 books of Moses, the texts of the prophetic works and other writings.

It (God's word / memra) was also an obsession with some Jews. Blame verses in Tanakh and later Jewish efforts for providing just enough (or plenty!) inroads for this idolatry. The 5 books of Moses were not written by Moses, I think.
