My Mum always told me to "Fuff" your drink and food before putting it in your mouth

That can be difficult when the drink is in a cup with a lid. The lady put her coffee between her legs and it spilled and soaked into her sweatpants. This lawsuit was a while back and I do not know how prevalent cup holders were at that time. And though I love my coffee as hot as I can get it there is a lady that lives in the same nursing home that my Dad lives in. I know her "coffee order" . The last thing I add to her coffee is (heresy of heresies) a splash of cold water. It took me a while to realize why. She has to drink hers from a cup with a lid and a straw. With a straw and a lid there is no "Fluffing". A lot of her fine motor skills are gone. It has to be cool enough to drink as is for her as is.
