Socialist Sanders threatened to give Socialist AOC a very 'important role' if elected.

Do the math.
Math doesn't help for how you know something.

There is no solution with cutting down the military to next to nothing
Oh please. Discussion of a reduction of defense funds (which are ridiculously high) does not mean cutting it down to nothing. And maybe we shouldn't be the "World Police"; that'd help quite a bit. Do the math, as you're so fond of saying.

He does not have a solution and he has words on paper.
He does have solutions, which were given to you. You have nothing but words on paper.

It's a real number
A real number that no one can conceivably spend in several lifetimes. Do the math.

And you're horrible at reading. From that very same article: "- What do we know? -

Amazon reported last month that it did not owe federal tax on its US income for 2017 and 2018 -- and in fact was due rebates from the federal government for those years.

And its US pre-tax income jumped 100 percent to $11.2 billion, the company said in regulatory filings (3). Its tax burden was lighter because of deductions for stock-based compensation and assets that are depreciating in value.

As a result of the 2017 Republican tax cuts, which slashed US corporate tax rates to 21 percent from 35 percent, Amazon also calculated it would receive a $789 million benefit."

Wrong as the math is clear.

Oh please. Discussion of a reduction of defense funds (which are ridiculously high) does not mean cutting it down to nothing.

Defense spending isn't going to cover social programs.

And maybe we shouldn't be the "World Police"; that'd help quite a bit. Do the math, as you're so fond of saying.

No one else will do it. Beside the US has an interest in doing so as it benefits the US. For one it helps maintain trade lanes lest China decides to seize the South China Sea.

He does have solutions, which were given to you. You have nothing but words on paper.

His solutions are words on paper or did you note notice it was a website? Try again son.

A real number that no one can conceivably spend in several lifetimes. Do the math.

Wrong. It is called investments. Heard of those? Heard of savings son? People can spend their money how they like just like you can spend your money how you like. You are just jealous that you do not have the money other people do so use fallacious logic to conclude people shouldn't have X amount of money because you say so. Try again son.

You didn't read the article son. More so you didn't read my comment. Now try reading son before you babble about me not reading something when you clearly couldn't do so yourself. Hilarious. Ask an adult for help

"But that is not to say it paid no taxes at all.

For 2018, it reported owing $322 million in taxes to US state governments and another $563 million in the rest of the world.

Under a separate accounting category, Amazon reported "cash taxes paid" -- or the amount of funds actually paid in taxes -- of $1.2 billion last year and $957 million in 2017. But these numbers are not broken down geographically, so it is not possible to know which government received the cash."

And its US pre-tax income jumped 100 percent to $11.2 billion, the company said in regulatory filings (3). Its tax burden was lighter because of deductions for stock-based compensation and assets that are depreciating in value.

Which does not refute a thing I said. Try again son.

Gotta say I've lost interest with you condescendingly calling me "son" with a bunch of... nothing. Try again gramps. Or don't, because I probably won't read it. Whatever chuckles your jollies.

She is an open socialist. She is a member of DSA.
In the news, she shows her anti-capitalist orientation.
AOC denounces capitalisms as a pursuit of profit at all costs run by a wealthy minority | Daily Mail Online
Excerpted....
U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said capitalism is 'not a redeemable system' for Americans and represents a 'pursuit of profit' with disregard for any human, environment and social consequences run by an elite minority.

For deniers who hate the source, it's reported in many others too.

She is an open socialist. She is a member of DSA.
And as we all know, that means she's basically HitlerStalin with a bit of Pol Pot mixed in.
She's probably already planning to murder everyone who wears glasses.

Just wait until its 40% when you hit more than one bracket, 14% sale tax, property taxes, etc. Both the Fed and Province tax income. That is what I face in Canada. That is the type of country Sander uses for a model. If he gets his way the middle class is going to see a lot of their income go into taxes to pay for all the programs he wants. Canada taxes the rich as well. It does not cover the costs of those social programs
What exactly is it that you're objecting to - the taxes you have to pay to keep your government running, or the social programs that are being paid with them?

Secretary of Nutty Apocalyptic Prophecies.
You mean, like the nutty apocalyptic prophecy that Israel will rule over all other nations once the Messiah arrives, and God descends from the Heavens on Judgement Day?

I sure wish that socialist nanny-state would hurry up and get here. I'm getting old, and not looking forward to freezing to death under a bridge in this capitalist utopia we've created.

AOC is right up there with those kooky loons.

Turns out that you can even buy a countdown clock
for AOC's prediction of the end of the world...

I know, it's really silly to be afraid of nuclear war while the world's biggest nuclear superpowers are currently deploying troops in a standoff over Ukraine, almost as stupid as the countless people who have been concerned about that for the past 70-odd years. After all, whatever happens, God will whisk away Americans to Paradise, as the Bible tells us.

Her certainty & specificity regarding the date the
world ends are what put her in the tin foil hat corral.
Just as she did with SARS CoV-2 vaccinations, she'll
jump in line ahead of the lowly masses for the rapture.

When the world doesn't end as she predicted....
Global warming causes fear.
She says the end is very near.
But then she must
her date adjust
to float so that it's never here.

I'm curious, how much would a Canadian have to earn to hit the highest income tax bracket?
