<cough> speaking of bias <cough>

Mann's data has been verified by other studies. This aspect of climate change has backing data.
And by now the concept of global warming should stand even on just common sense alone.

But what we run across are so many who simply ignore the overwhelming climate-science consensus that's been concluded by the NAS, NASA, and even our own DoD, to believe in right-wing politicians and their lackeys instead.

"Piling On-- Personal Foul"-- 15 yard penalty on the defense for Trump, and a first down for Greta and climate scientists.

Who agrees with Dr Emily Grossman that we need a wartime mobilization of resources to combat Climate Change?

Is catastrophic change the answer?

Methinks Dinesh D'Souza is a tad too obsessed with Nazis.

Perhaps, but kids aren't often as mentally equipped to deal with the problems of fame as adults are. Look what happens to child stars later in life. It doesn't usually end well.
Look what happens to many adult stars.
Maybe you aren't qualified to make such claims?

Some 16yr olds could leave you and me standing, in any capacity. :D

I'd wager she has handlers. The whole thing is silly, anyway; if people aren't listening to scientists, why would they listen to some sassy brat?
Venice has just had the highest tide ever ombre order history.
The Greenland ice sheet melt is accelerating.
The seas are losing oxygen at an increasing rate. Etc etc
And you call Gretav a sassy brat.

You're losing credit points, Dad. :D

Much like adults... come can, some can't. And the ones that can impress, usually blow one out of the water, even sometimes having higher cognitive abilities than their parents - just lacking some life experience.
A lack of experience can be beneficial cos so much prejudice can come from 'experience'.

I think Greta is amazing, but for some reason the Chinese, Indians, oil magnates and Americans don't want to listen.

Can't think why.

I agree. She reflects what the climate scientists have overwhelmingly concluded, but those who believe that $ is more important may not agree.

The irony is that our moving more to green energy is a growing market whereas fossil fuel suppliers is a shrinking market, and this isn't just because of climate change.

I don't doubt or deny the message, I just don't think it should be delivered via publicity stunts.

Get the hell off my lawn, kid.
And there it is.
You have no faith in the young.

Those who you hope to put down in debate you often call 'son' or in this case 'kid'. You seem to be Ageist....... very sad.

But Greta has qualities that you probably don't have, for instance... she's gained the attention of most of the World. !!

But never mind, 'cos a few of us, a very few of us do read your posts..... some of them. :p

Ha ha! Ho ho! An American doesn't like publicity stunts!

The World looks like its headed for ecological disasters and you would prefer not to see or hear about it.

Tough cookie, mate.

And BTW, Australia is expecting (or has just had) its hottest temperature recording ever, or so I saw on Beeb news.

Go on, Dad..... get rid of your gas-heating and limos and get yerself an electric car. Or a bicycle! Very 'ealthy, bikes. :p

Good points. As you've said in another post, life experience does sometimes jade people as well. Fresh perspectives give new starts.

My reply was tongue-in-cheek, though I am cynical. If her stage show does manage to bring about some measure of positive progress, then great.
