Marrying a 6 year old is not ok even for Muhommad.
But nobody knows what really happened.That is a good point. Nevertheless, the story encapsulates an attitude which is disturbing, and justifies questionable treatment of women and girls.
All history is questionable. The stories people choose reflect their present views.
