Have you ever had a "Buckle"... it's a bit of cake / pie hybrid. It's wonderful with fresh berries....

It's kind of like a cobbler... but the pastry to fruit proportions are closer to 70/30... and butter... lots and lots of butter.

At least that's how we make it...

This isn't the recipe that Nana uses... but it will give the idea of what I'm talking about.
