We were not talking about "references" to anything. You were asserting that gods and spirits actually ruled countries.

I Googled "what countries were ruled by spirits".

No Countries were listed.

"Written during the long reign of Ramesses II, the papyrus, now estimated at 1.7m long and 0.41m high, comprises on the recto an unknown number of pages that hold a list of names of persons and institutions, along with what appears to be the tax-assessment of each.

It is, however, the verso of the papyrus that has attracted the most attention, as it contains a list of gods, demi-gods, spirits, mythical and human kings who ruled Egypt from the beginning of time presumably until the composition of this valuable document."

Do you understand the meaning of your cut and paste? Of course you don't.

Do you think that a comment that says that a deity is part of a Japanese myth cycle is meant to assert that the deity is/was real? Do you not understand the meaning of the word "myth"?

myth
/miTH/
noun
  1. 1.
a traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events.

  2. a widely held but false belief or idea.

Are you so desperate to try to convince yourself of your childish beliefs that you must try to distort basic English written words?
Maybe search what goddess means.

"A goddess is a female deity.."

Where have I discussed Caligula, Nero, and other Caesars? Why do you have such problems keeping track of conversations?
You posted this anti Christian diatribe.

"Before Christianity, Rome had clean drinking water and sewage facilities. Within 100 years of Rome accepting Christianity, all that ended."

When one talks of Rome, that includes Caesars.

Great so if the impact was from below going upwards, voila.

Waving a magic wand 'voila' does not change the basic Newtonian physics and simply gravity says no the magic wand does not work

Exactly. Yet so called science belief based imaginary time conflates the two.

The objective verifiable evidence says 66 million years, the assertion of 6,000 - 10,000 turns out to be imaginary, absolutely no evidence.

Again . . . still waiting for the evidence . . .

Other way round. You observe nature today and ascribe all we see to having been a result of that. Gong.

No 'gong' it works both ways there is no absolutely no evidence that the 'gong' works and the processes are not the same throughout the history of our physical existence,

Where is the evidence that the natural processes were the same as today?

The sediment deposition sequences in lakes, shallow seas and many bays stay consistent and uniform over 100,000 to million years or longer. there is absolutely no evidence.

Still waiting . . .

Your God, sometime after killing nearly all humans and animals, foisted ten plagues on Egypt causing great harm to those people. Why did He do those things?
Okay...
1st, the Flood:
Understanding Genesis 6:1-4 is the crux. Angels coming to Earth, looking like men (Jude 1:6), and taking women, “all whom they chose”, married or not. How do you think human males would respond? Google “Nephilim”. Jehovah couldn’t just stand by, and let these angels produce hybridized human / angel creatures! As giants, they would have eventually conquered mankind!
(Where do you think the Ancient Greeks, Romans, etc., got their ideas of gods having sex w/ women and producing offspring, in their mythologies? It’s a common thread, coming from a real event!)

2nd, Egypt:
After seeing Moses’ miracles, Pharaoh should have known who was more powerful!
But he refused to let Israel leave, even after the Ten Plagues that followed. Each time he could have let Jehovah’s people go, but he didn’t. So, really, Pharaoh brought the destruction to Egypt, by his action...or lack of.

Many Egyptians, according to the account, left with the Israelites,...because they realized Jehovah was more powerful than their gods. Apparently, Jehovah didn’t stop them from joining the Israelites. Jehovah always let others come to worship with the Israelites. The Gibeonites were a fine example.

The Flood story was refuted before the Adam and Eve one. Your only "evidence" is a fake scientific article written for Ken Ham of all people that claimed an underloaded Ark would float in calm waters.

Shakespeare is written in English. At least, the English that was spoken at the time.
That's the entire point of mentioning it!
Yes...and English speaking people may understand it. Not by genetics but by careful learning. Animals will never, ever, he able to understand Shakespeare in ANY language. I know this like I know gravity is real.

Wrong. Gravity is often overruled and overcome when strong forces are at work! Airplanes, rockets...come to mind.

Nothing says that at all except your beliefs.

Wrong, you arrive at 'years' by looking at what now may takes a year to form. You believe it was always the same nature working. End of story.

Àgain, a tsunami is not like the flood described but it sure can wipe away lots and lots of people in one felt swoop. Plus move away a lot of buildings and wood and other things across an ocean. And of course, don't forget topography, which anyway has changed over the years.

Unfortunately it is not science.
Not everything is science! Science doesn't cover love. Or hate. Or angels. Or God. Or miracles. Or the supernatural...etc etc etc. (nor does it tell us what time in the far universe is like nor what the forces and laws that existed in Noah's day here were like)

Nope, I can see that you do not understand gravity either.

Nothing says that at all except your beliefs.

And endless evidence. Something that you cannot find.

Wrong, you arrive at 'years' by looking at what now may takes a year to form. You believe it was always the same nature working. End of story.

Once again, if you want to claim a change the burden of proof is upon you. I already gave you evidence that the physical laws were the same in the past.

Not really. Tsunamis are only effective very near the oceans. That does not help your flood myth either. Plus, sizable tsunamis leave evidence. There is no such evidence. So once again the example you chose refutes the flood of Noah.

Sorry if you doubt rockets and planes exist and can defy gravity. Some people have claimed that the fountains of the deep opening up suddenly would have produced an erupting stream of water and debris that would have shot high into the sky in some cases. Not sure what you think you understand about 'gravity' that would mean something could not shoot up from the earth? Lurkers note that once again this poster offers nothing to support his vague allusions.

No, gravity is not overcome, because human technology is involved. We are talking about natural object responding to the Laws of Nature.

Still waiting for evidence to support your assertions . . .

Of course science does not deal with anything outside the objective evidence concerning our physical existence, such what you list above, but we are talking about the nature of our physical existence.

Still waiting for the evidence . . .

Once more you demonstrate that logic is in another country for you. Gravity is not "overruled" by airplanes and rockets. Your poor choice of words indicates a lack of understanding. And I see that you are now claiming that Noah and company were cooked to a crisp. Nice job!!

Maybe they do not see science as the true answer? Because time and time again science have to go back to rewrite their theory or they learn that whoops there was more to it than we first could record with our instruments.

You say that like it's a bad thing, to learn more things and make progress....

So science is not a solid answer either.

Constantly being on top of things as new data comes in and being willing to accept you're wrong upon discovering such data, seems to be as solid as it can possibly get...

A lot of science rely on instruments made by mankind, but instruments can only measure what they are intended to find, so not a complete truth finder

Doesn't change the fact that it's still the best we can do.
And looking around at our technological society and the fact that we are here, communicating at lightspeed from different sides of the globe, it seems to be doing quite a good job and finding out how reality works.

Humans are animals.

So you know it the same way you know gravity is real: Presumably by guessing and not actually understanding any of the mechanics. Why do you believe gravity is real? Personal incredulity? We all know it's not because you understand the science.

Otherwise you'd understand the science behind evolution, but you don't. So: You know animals will not learn Shakespeare much the same way you know gravity is real: By personal incredulity and guessing. That's it.

Consequently, i don't believe you will ever be able to understand Shakespeare in any language either so...
