Could you successfully pretend to be a girl/boy?

As a girl/boy I think that I could successfully fake being a boy/girl (not that I would).

Assume you have a perfect disguise.

If you're a girl, could your successfully fake being a boy?

I wouldn't put that on my gravestone or signature. You know what I meant.

I see.

Though my comment was more, "Hmm, what do you think I, AT-AT, would say?"
I think you'd say 'No'. I think its harder than Rival thinks that it is, but I'm not the person to ask about acting or how to be cool or how to walk. A police detective might be more of a good resource for a serious inquiry.

No, why would i do that?
To get an acting job. To get a job at all. Suppose you couldn't get a job unless you pretended, such as if you were a girl living in some city where girls couldn't get jobs.

No, I couldn't successfully pretend to be a girl (not that I tried hard in the first place). It didn't work for the first two decades of my life, hence why I'm living as my authentic male self now.

I pass the "Would Obsydian share a bologna sandwich with you?" test, though.
Well I don't know if you could act or not. I'm guessing about what you think about it. Obviously some people can really do it and have done it.

Make sure you vote, Ok?

Everybody should vote even if you don't comment. It makes the thread more interesting.

I could superficially mimic 'male aesthetics', and my hobbies and behaviors are already misidentified as being 'men's stuff.' Whether that would constitute a good impersonation of a man, I think, depends entirely on who you ask.

Well, maybe I'll make a pretty serious reply...

Obsydian and I have been friends for awhile. We mirror different aspects of the feminine side though. Obsydian is fully gay and knows how to dress to pass if needed. I'm bi, and though I haven't crossdressed much, I will very likely be the first of us two to get on hormones (HRT). Personality wise, Obsydian probably thinks I act more feminine than him in personality. But he has that dressing like both genders thing nailed down. And of course he's older and has more life experience.

All this is just for informational purposes. Not meaning to embarrass anyone. This just seems like an awfully good question for the Games board, is all.

So I am taking steps to become quite frankly, a different gender. Doesn't mean it'll happen overnight.

Still, no i would not pretend i was a girl. If i can't find a job i would move.
So would most people, but not everyone can. Modern society is relatively permissive, but in the past that has not been possible everywhere. Like in times of war etc etc.
