These bishops are just picking at nits, and they sound like they are levels beneath Francis in exegetical ability. Nick Donnelly is embarrassing himself and the church. He literally used the phrase "Reassure the faithful..." How arrogant can one get and still make bishop?

Francis is simply telling Catholics to grow up, putting away the things of a child. And yes, there are always those who think they are protecting the faithful, but in reality present a stumbling block to growth in an adult faith.
