Christmas birthdate of Jesus Pagan.......

Yes, its funny how they seem to think that because they love the celebrations and all the trappings, that God must love it too......he already said that he will not tolerate a fusion of true and false religion. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) Its foolish to ignore that warning....it is after all, the worship of false gods that they are imitating.

It reminds me of the golden calf incident.....they called that "a festival to the Lord" but because it had all the trappings of false worship, God put the perpetrators to death.
The golden calf incident is a good example - there for us to learn from.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
I think this thread is incredibly silly. Hippolytus and others determined the birthday of Jesus to be December 25 decades before Sol Invictus was declared a holiday.

There is actually a good argument that none of the traditions are pagan, they just resemble some pagan ideas, if you theorize wildly.
I believe they came from Pagansim, but actually the idea that all the religions resemble each other is proof enough that there isn't one that is the only way as Christians teach.

There's a difference between 'not all religions are bad', and, 'oh im worshipping a demon', and, 'how much is a condo in hell'.

So what does that mean.

It means, one might think they have everything in order, however that isn't necessarily how this works, "salvation", it's more like, doing something correctly, or not. And you might have your own ideas what that means, however one could be incorrect.

All the religions shouldn't seem the same, because they aren't.

I didn't say they were the same but they are similar. Did you watch the video of the Osiris and Jesus? Theres a lot of coincidences there.

Look up the meaning of the word religion and then try to explain what makes any particular religion different. Let's take one example among many; Religions may contain symbolic stories, which are sometimes said by followers to be true, wiki.

Interesting, yet, religions do differ.

Yes, and arguments are made for there being more than just "coincidence".

In other words, there can be religions changing, so forth, bringing about these similarities. One g-d or goddess can be a changed name other g-d or goddess, agreed.
