Easy. Politicians lie. This lie is minor. Meanwhile big lies get you Iraq, Syria and Libya. I do not care about the minor lies. I care about the big lies. Seems like Liberals think the opposite.

You might want to invest some time and take a Logic 101 course.

You saying "because" doesn't make something a scientific fact. You also need to get a good handle on "cause and effect".
