"31% of White Evangelicals Say They’ll Support Trump No Matter What He Does"

And I wonder when the first white person used the term "black" in a derogatory way?
Probably they didn't think it would escalate, in some countries, to slavery and segregation.
The ethos of the 1960's was that you don't judge a person by their skin color. Well, it's
back again - judging people by their skin.
When I hear the term "black" or "white" I know there's a problem with looking at the heart
of a person. "Anti-racism" is often pure racism.

You sure do have a sanitized, white-washed image of recent history.

Let's compare.

Morality is doing the least harm to the largest number of people while allowing maximum freedom.

Tell me what you think moral behavior is.

Amazingly, i agree with that.

I would like to add or build on it. Maximum honesty and critical thinking helps us figure out how to do the least harm while allowing maximum freedom.

Hello. I am a left-winger, if you want to use labels (though I am pro-life). And I try to follow the teachings of Jesus the best I can everyday (but of course we all fall short). Why am I immoral?

I telling you left wingers are evil doesn't inform you a whole lot.

You telling me your a left winger doesn't inform me a whole lot either.

OMG! It's only 31%! I think it's 90% of white evangelicals who appreciate Trump, since you know, the Democrats love social justice but like giving money to organizations, domestic and international, that kill children.

You found the wrong survey. It's like 90% of white evangelicals. See you in 2020--and beyond!!!!

Organizations that kill children???

No, its the opposite. If trump swung to the democrates he would become immoral. If you think hes immoral now, hed be more immoral if he swung left.

The right wingers have both moral and immoral people, but the left have ONLY immoral people. And moderates have both.

And the religion i follow is NOT the one you follow, thats for sure.

Is this a joke?

You sure do have a sanitized, white-washed image of recent history.

All people are the same. Targeting certain races
is just racism. Just go to Africa and see how racist
the "indigenous" people are there. Learn about how
the Chinese treat other people, or what Japanese
think of non-Japanese. Learn what the Aborigines
did to the Australian landscape when they entered
the continent. Go and live in an Arab country for a
while.

And for above, these people don't stop with being
racist - their sexism is pretty strong too. My sister
came from a trip to Egypt on her own - she was
thorough depressed.

So when you feel some primal urge to hate
people of a particular skin color or culture, just
ask yourself, "compared to what"?

Something that goes right to the heart of the White Evangelical mindset.

"The researchers at the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) just released their 2019 American Values Survey, and there’s one graph in particular that says so much about the state of religion in this country. It concerns how various religious groups see Donald Trump: Do they like him? And could he do anything to change their minds?

It’s not surprising that white evangelicals overwhelmingly support him. They don’t care about — or are willing to overlook — his affairs, scandals, inhumanity, ignorance, racism, and blatant pandering. It’s also not a shock that non-religious people and Black Protestants mostly disapprove of him.

But look at the far ends of the bars. They represent whether those groups are open to changing their minds.

While 75% of white evangelicals approve of Trump’s performance in office, 31% of them say there’s literally nothing he could do to lose their support. He really could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue without it making a difference to his base."

Hmm... "right to the heart" of the Evangelical Mindset? So... in a country polarized (72% of All Americans are not open to changing their approval/disapproval) about Trump... 53% of the evangelicals are open to changing their approval/disapproval compared to the 30% of Unaffiliated open to changing their approval/disapproval?

Does this go right to the heart of the "Unaffiliated" mindset? They aren't actually as "Unaffiliated" as they generally claim to be?
