Why do they look so different?

I only wonder, when all Ham's children are black, why the Egyptians are white and look like the people in the East.

And besides, the Egyptians live in a place where it is on average hotter than in many places of Africa where black people live.

The reason is very simple... the Bible stories are metaphors and allegories. They are not historical or have any basis in genetics or biology.Your confusion stems from taking the Bible completely literally in the face of mountains of archaeology, anthropology, geology, and genetics to name only a few sciences. There are no other reasons why Ham's or Shem's, or whoever's children look one way, the Egyptians, Sudanese, Sub-Saharan Africans look differently.

Simple, Calm. Mizraim's wife may have been of a lighter skin-shade than Cush's wife. Does Bible mention Mizraim's or Cush's skin-shade?

Not so simple, because Biblically these figures have no context in the time required for the differentiation of races and ethnic groups naturally.

They are not likely intended as metaphors and analogies in the original context, because they were how the people who wrote these records were what they believed their lineage heritage and otigins represent. Resorting to metaphors and metaphors and analogies is for the present generations to make sense of these writings in the present context. There are metaphors and analogies in ancient writings in parables, stories and wisdom fables, but these are not in that context lie Aesop's Fables or the traditional parables of Jesus Christ . The same is true for Genesis and much of the Pentateuch. This line of reasoning may be extended to much of the ancient writings of religions where those that wrote them considered them factual from the ancient perspective, but today the literal meaning does not make sense nor good science.

Yeah, that's all very true. I don't think they wrote them deliberately as allegories. They saw what they saw, knew what they knew, and recorded that.

I doubt serious that this can be documented as factual.
This apparently is a title of God, OK but remains a statement of belief. Yes I believe God Created all of our physical existence and in the process Adam, and all the Adams in the cycles of Revelation in the history of humanity.

@calm,

Based on the many different approaches offered in this thread; Did you get your question answered?

Again, again, and again no proof of anything except in logic and math..

I will up front condemn the rejection of science based on a religious agenda only. This the same problem as your view of science.

I asked you to prove a rude assertion you made against a religious person, I didn't ask you to reject science while doing so.

Again, again, and again many times there is no proof of anything, I was rejected the unfortunate rejection of science, and your's to.

I did not reject science. You do.

Again . . . I will up front condemn the rejection of science based on a religious agenda only. This the same problem as your view of science.

Says the one who's avatar is a piece of plastic for getting knocked about, hypocrite much?

If you knew the history of my avatar perhaps you would have even more to say about in how many different ways it disproves genesis... Wanna go there?

So your avatar is NOT a dead, nonliving, organic skull, that will be dust in some years?!

Spock, "FASCINATING."

Spock, "FASCINATING."

Its not dust after 22000 years, but i am sure yours will be nothing but dust in the wind in that time.

It is also on display at the national museum of pre-history in France,. Can't see your plastic ball making that grade

Your avatar.

When you dis what you dont understand it usually backfires on you.

I will up front ALSO.

I interpret some science data differently than you, USING THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD. And neither of us believe in SCIENTISM/worship of science (I hope)!

A billiards ball can take thousands more violent collisions than our skulls and the soft stuff within, however, I feel compelled to point out that you're right:

*Jesus never wrote a book.

*1/3 today on Earth are Christians

*1/3 today on Earth acknowledge Jesus as prophet/Lord over Judgment Day as Muslims

You're right, we don't need 22,000 years to end Christianity, having spread from an originator to 2/3 of the planet.

You are welcome to the violence.

And of course i dont believe a billiard ball has ever gen found that has survived 22000 years. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong

And like my skull, Christianity is dying? And unlikely my skull, it seems christianity is incapable of evolution.

So like any virus, it spreads then dies out

You interpret science different than 99% of qualified scientists with no basic education in science, and based on a religious agenda and that is not science. Your agenda puts science in the realm of worship based on your agenda. Real science has no religious agenda such as you have.

You'd better try to stop it then, it is spreading quickly.

I interpret some scientific data different than accepted consensus science, yes.

I believe Jesus rose from the dead, and therefore disagree with some scientists there also.

Some scientists trust Jesus, some will be in Hell forever, IMHO.

I do agree that real science does not require a religious agenda.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Ham had 2 children, Mizraim (Egypt) and Cush (Ethiopia). Both brothers must have looked similar, because they have the same father and mother. Now my question is, why do the Ethiopians look so different from today's Egyptians? Why are the Ethiopians black but the modern Egyptians white and that although the Egyptians live in a place where it is on average hotter than in Ethiopia? Has Ham fathered a black and a white son at the same time? Or are today's Egyptians actually the children of Abraham from the tribe of Ishmael?(so semites) But where then are the descendants of ancient Egypt?

Can anyone here give a Biblical answer without any DNA tests or the like?
There is no biblical answer. It's not a science or history book.
