Do creationists accept biology?

Hallelujah. I am really tired of the false dichotomy that some non-believers (read, atheists) seem to put people into....anybody believing in a Creator MUST be a young earth literal 7-24 hour day creationist and all the arguments and criticisms are assuming that....OR, if the person they speak to actually figures that the earth is 4 billion (or thereabouts) years old and evolution is real, MUST be an atheist; no god involved.

At least, those who talk to ME seem to do that.

There are those....MOST Christians, actually...who do believe that "God is Who, evolution is how".

For crying out loud, the Catholic church accepts evolution as 'how,' officially...and since it was a Catholic monk who did the definitive work on inherited characteristics (heard of Gregor Mendel? BTW, he was not only NOT criticized for his work, he was made an Abbot).

Ah, well.

This is not an accurate representation.

A "creationist" is someone that explicitly rejects evolution theory and instead believes some god created everything as-is.

A theist that accepts evolution and believes perhaps that some god "kickstarted" it, or "guided" it or what-have-you, isn't typically called a creationists but rather a "theistic evolutionist".

Creationism includes the explicit rejection of evolution theory.
Theistic evolution accepts the science of evolution and adds an undetectable "hand of god" or something.

This is what the catholic church does. Eventhough I've literally heared vatican cardinals state that if someone we could push the "reset" button and turn back time 3 billion years to let evolution unfold once more, that it would be extremely unlikely that we'ld end up with homo sapiens again, considering lots of random variables that (at least) co-determine evolutionary outcomes.

So, to summarize, calling someone who adheres to "theistic evolution" a "creationist", is just confusing / ambiguous terminology.

Creationism as a term, implies the explicit rejection of the science of evolution.

I don't believe in Evolution, however I agree with many discoveries found in the field of Biology.

Most Christians don't even realize that the Tabernacle in the Wilderness was a scale model of a Eukaryotic Cell...

Weird how none of that is mentioned in the bible.

No actually what's weird is how this information is mentioned *ALL THROUGHOUT* the Bible, yet you and others like you post lies and false accusations to try and fool others into thinking otherwise.

Verse after verse after verse describes all of this in intimate detail, yet somehow you are an authority on this subject? Obviously not.

Whatever your intentions are for posting these lies, you need to realize others are watching. Visitors here aren't as dumb as you think.

But it isn't. That is merely a weak attempt to match terminology. Nothing more.

He has been spamming the forum with that odd post. Some people are just not worth responding to.
As for you...

I put you on ignore years ago for this exact same behavior... LYING and posting false accusations about me and my work... and the work of others in this field.

I decided to unignore to see if you have improved. Nope.

You need to stop with this disgusting stalking behavior. Stop posting lies and slander about me and my work.

I have every right to respond to a subject with relative context and information. What gives you the right to proactively seek out my posts and put a stop to it?

Spamming the forum? Really?

Do you even know how serious an allegation that is? And to post it publicly?

What is your motive? What is your intention but to have this information censored?

It's clear you hate the Bible, and you hate Christians such as myself. We get that. And now that the Bible is being proven to be written by an intelligence far superior to the Human Race, it bothers you to no end.

But do you have to take your Cognitive Dissonance hatred out on me? How about you back off and deal with your psychological issues outside this forum?

Clearly you need help. Please seek it.

I've had to endure years of your abuse and I'm SICK OF IT.

For the rest of you that have never seen this info before...

Get over yourselves already. Just because YOU'VE never seen this, doesn't mean it's not relevant.

I'm mean WOW!! The ego some of you have. To think you know it all and are an authority on anything and everything is sick.

Yes, there are those of us that know something you don't. Yes, as hard to believe as that is, it really is true.

And if any of you are wondering why this info isn't mainstream, now you know the answer. Constant censoring and marginalization.

Yet you follow the ones doing the censoring and marginalizing like you are in some 'exclusive cool kids club'. Grow up already.

LEARN SOMETHING NEW.

Oh and BTW...

There are currently documentaries in the works with yours truly in it that will be hitting the airwaves soon. When they do, they will blow peoples minds. naturally there are extremely wicked people out there trying desperately to stop them for going public. They won't.

You folks are getting a 'sneak preview' at some very exclusive information and look at how you behave?

Pathetic.

If you check the posts where I have corrected you I already posted on those before you posted your unsupportable nonsense. I did not stalk you but you did spam. When you do a copy and past of the same post at least three times that is spamming.

By the way, you should not use terms that you do not understand. Either scientific ones or psychological ones either. If you want to learn science there are many here that will help you. You won't find it in a book of myths.

Interesting. I see no representation of transmembrane receptors in your tabernacle. Not that it matters - that really strains credulity to claim that this stuff is all throughout the bible.
Verse after verse after verse describes all of this in intimate detail, yet somehow you are an authority on this subject? Obviously not.
So then you are the expert. Show me 5 verses that explicitly detail the RAS pathway.
Whatever your intentions are for posting these lies, you need to realize others are watching. Visitors here aren't as dumb as you think.
Actually, I think most posters on here are dumber than the visitors, and I suspect most visitors can tell who is a lying crackpot and who isn't.

Odds are that I demonstrated how bad your ideas were then. They do not appear to have improved with age.

Ah, well.

Reasonableness definitely exists on both sides of the believer/non-believer aisle...its when fundamentalism creeps in that reason gets dicey.

No it isn't. a creationist is someone who believes that there is a Creator God responsible. From the Stanford Encycopedia of Philosophy:
Creationism
First published Sat Aug 30, 2003; substantive revision Fri Sep 21, 2018
At a broad level, a Creationist is someone who believes in a god who is absolute creator of heaven

That's why there are qualifying adjective phrases attached to the word. You know...."Young Earth Creationism."

It is to help separate them out from those of us who believe in a Creator God, but not necessarily that He created everything ex nihilo in seven 24 hour days, six or so thousand years ago, measured in modern earth rotations and orbits.

A theist that accepts evolution and believes perhaps that some god "kickstarted" it, or "guided" it or what-have-you, isn't typically called a creationists but rather a "theistic evolutionist".

Says who?

Creationism includes the explicit rejection of evolution theory.

No it doesn't. 'Young Earth Creationism" does, but not all creationists do.

Well, obviously you think so.

I, however, have provided a source other than my own opinion.

Since you have explained your view of those who believe in a God who made the heavens and the earth, and I thank you for that, I certainly do not believe that God created things like smallpox and deformities. Or two persons born with one body or attached bodies.

It doesn't accept evolution, actually.

As a point of doctrine, the Catholic Church rejects polygenism. For Original Sin to work, it insists on monogenism: that all "true" humans are descended from one original male-female pair. This is completely incompatible with how we know speciation works.

It's a subtler rejection of the Theory of Evolution than Young Earth Creationism is, but it's still a rejection.

Luckily, most Catholics haven't bothered to read Humani Generis, so many don't realize their church's official position on the issue.

I mean the observations, findings etc that are not explicitly within the field of evolution?

Most accept basic medical science for example observations and diagnosis of illness. ID itself uses observations to get the conclusion it wants.
