Sorry don't by it, House and Bed are not literal in those passages. If we look to the bible we were cast out of eden (heaven on earth) one would believe Heaven would be similar to eden (Naked and in Nature).

The afterlife for Resurrected beings whom God might send to Heaven will have pearly gates, temples and streets paved with gold.

Look at John 14:2 logically. A rather large house may have about four bedrooms and three bathrooms. A mansion probably would have at least six bedrooms and four bathrooms. So a mansion is larger that a house. But John 14:2 says God's house contains many mansions. Is there any reasonable way that a house could have many mansions inside it? Of course not. So the meaning must be something different. Also in the after life we will be spirits and spirits do not need houses to live in.

Where do you expect the afterlife to be?

God made humans to live on earth. Humans build houses.

Those who go to heaven are spirits who don't live in houses.

There is not much to clean. There is no dust in heaven, only grass. Don't forget to take a lawn-mower along.

Those are not literal. Think of Lincoln "A house divided against itself cannot stand." The house here is about the nation namely the USA. Same idea in those verses.

In-house services are excellent in heaven, and incomparable when it comes to Islam. Large mansion, 72 valets (young male and female clear-eyed houris always ready to fulfill your slightest desire), and free unlimited drinks (same for ice-cream and yogurt, small things to ask for).
