What the world/my country/my friends/etc. need now is ...

Just get it off your chest - we do need to know!

For me, as starters, is for any likely penny-pinching management to force product engineers into making packaging that is just functional and not just a semblance of this. I can just about live with ordinarily inadequate design/manufacturing/production/etc. but I am quite close to returning all such trash when they fail my justifiable (and not too high) standards of inspection and scrutiny, especially when they raise my blood pressure to dangerous levels  and a suitable diatribe will accompany such returns! :rage:

Please convey your particular annoyances to the rest of the world.

(But no violence please )

What the world needs now, is......

a really good, satisfying and calorie free (but doesn't taste like it) chocolate bar.

Natural electrical conductors instead of metal ones. Ideally some sort of thin vine which incorporates salts into an electrolyte complex. Then people could take that and make motors and electronics with it. Better yet if it could also convert sunlight into electricity and also store electricity in its fruit. That would prevent a lot of future problems, provided the plant was not too aggressive.

***I apologize for the two badly formed sentences in the above paragraph. Where are my manners, today?***

Well considering this, the annoyance might be laid at those who have engaged in product tampering. I remember the whole Tylenol scare when some nut was poisoning bottles on the shelf and putting them back. That's when they started putting all this extra tough packaging on things, which can be quite annoying, I'll agree.

More recently, there was a case of some sicko licking the lids of ice cream cartons and then putting them back in the store freezer. So, now I guess they'll have to put on more difficult packaging just to defend against this sort of thing.

In fact, just about every annoyance and source of irritation is because someone didn't want play nice or be decent, honorable human beings. For example, if I go into a store and want to try something to see if it fits, I have to hand over my ID while they check every little thing I'm bringing in to the fitting room. All because of too many thieves. Surveillance cameras everywhere.

Another annoyance are places which either lock their bathrooms or don't let people use them - all because there have been too many people who have abused the privilege. I don't blame the store owners as much as I blame the people who ruined for everyone else.

There are too many people who have taken a mile after being given an inch, so now we're at the point where no one wants to give an inch anymore. More is the pity.

In my case it is usually the flimsy films on ready-meals falling apart either when removing them or when having to add water. Most are getting better but some are just annoying!:rage:

The bathroom thing can be annoying and some give out codes here - presumably changed every day (one can't be too careful). :D

packages that are perforated to be opened (such as facial tissues or plastic baggies) or the lids to cereal boxes, which are designed to be opened and reclosed...yet in real life, those are the strongest parts of the packages--the package rips away from the perforation in the first case, and in the second the lid tears and will no longer interleave to close...

Airplane seats that treat us like people rather than as cattle to be confined in the smallest area possible.
I am also in favor of personal parachutes. They can be incorporated into the seats, so why not?

You just gave me a good idea. Passengers should start "mooing" like cattle as they're boarding the plane, as a way of letting their displeasure known. We could start a national movement, encouraging people to "moo" like a cow when boarding the plane.

My Master always said "Before you act, ask yourself the question ... am I an animal, or am I a human being". My Master is great:):)

Edit: Just realized the redundancy since humans are part of the biosphere, but I still feel the distinction is important somehow.
