Barr's disturbing speech

Illegitimacy? Seriously? Where does he think he is? In the 18th century colonial America? Illegitimate children or only problem in extremely poor, underdevelopped agrarian societies where wealth isn't mobile and where climbing the social ladder is almost impossible.

'A threat to democracy': William Barr's speech on religious freedom alarms liberal Catholics

I'm not sure there's really much to say. Rather than keeping one's mouth shut, seems like people want to open it to reveal they know little about the occupation or what the law has to say. Even when already under scrutiny. Talking about Barr here.

I wonder what colombus thinks of this given that he partially identifies as Catholic?
Our government consists of professional liars...pay attention what they do not what they say.

I somewhat suspect William Barr is either a proponent of throwing out the Constitution and turning America into a theocracy, or he is close to that doctrine. In other words, I am accusing him of most likely either being an Integralist -- as they are known -- or being strongly sympathetic to Integralism.

For those of you who do not know, Integralism is a hyper-conservative movement within Catholicism that seeks to establish dictatorial theocracies around the world. It has been condemned by the Pope, but it is nevertheless gaining momentum in America.

It's foremost American proponent is an editorial writer for the New York Post named Sohrab Ahmari, and Barr is suspected by more people than me alone of being either a member of the movement or hugely sympathetic to the movement.

Even normal conservatives should oppose Integralism. It is both anti-democratic and anti-American. @Vouthon would know much, much more than me about this, though. I hope he will weigh in on this.

It is the same ilk that threatens the today's Catholic church, that everything post Vat II is heresy and Francis a heretic, both from within and without the Church. There is no question that the Church opposes abortion but that does not dictate how one ought to vote. Interestingly, the Court now is Catholic or Catholic raised and a Jew.
So it comes down to who we elect to office, from state to national. And for those who don't bother you get what is deserved.
